An SB2 version of the BEF would make this board and the wiring a lot more manageable...nudge... ;)

New to the world of Source Audio. So far overwhelmed by the possibilities but loving it.

Question, whats the closet i can get to a Herbie Hancock Chameleon type tone with the MWBD? Like a fuzzy, sloppy (not too overdone though) bouncy tone. With quick decay as well. If it helps, almost like the Bass tone in Beyonce's 'Love On Top' (listen to the intro).

Thanks all. Any other links to suggested settings is welcomed too.

Got the MWBD Pro in yesterday. Sounds great. With an EBS Octabass, MWBD Pro, Boss PH3, and Sitori Sonics Reel Repeat I am getting a fantastic combo. If I have time this week I will try to post a video. Updated pic of the board.

Nice! I'm still trying to decide on the MWBD Pro or the SB2 version. I gotta get a hot hand too...geez I need $$$

I have the pro and I love it. But if I were in your shoes I'd seriously consider the SB2. It's smaller, for one thing. And it's going to have more hot hand / expression pedal options in it.

I would't worry too much about the money. Since I got my MWBD Pro and my BEF Pro I have completely lost interest in other pedals. I no longer daydream about things I'd like to put on the board, or do idle research about things I might want to get. I basically have what I need. First time since I started assembling this sucker six months ago. I guess what I'm saying is, I don't feel like I threw money down a bottomless hole of pedal lust. I feel like I finally identified my needs and fulfilled them.

I unplug mine every time. No issues at all. I unplug my power strips to all my pedals as well. But due to a glitch in my BEF Pro, I've taken to unplugging it first, because its presets sometimes get wiped if I power down the strips first, and the fix is unplugging and replugging the BEF Pro, so I am used to disconnecting it, then powering the rest down.

New numbers are up! Let me know if I missed you.

Roger, I showed Alyssa what you said...I'd say you're in trouble but actually it made her very happy. If her ego gets too big...THEN you're in trouble!

Just picked up a Dimension Reverb and so far all I have to say is WOW! :hyper:

Does anybody have any killer settings to share? How about the settings on Will's demo video...it's easy enough to see where the main knobs are, but what about the additional "Option" parameters?

Oh, and is it just me or do these pedals seem WAY bigger in the videos/pictures then they end up being in real life? I was pleasantly surprised by the actual size of my BEF Pro but these SB2 pedals are ADORABLE. :D

Just ordered one of the SA exp. pedals to go with the Dimension Reverb I got a couple of weeks ago. The "effect send" function seems like a really great idea, though I kinda wish I could've used one of the three EP-2s I now have lying around unused to control it...

The reverb itself sounds great, and I love having both high and low dampening filters - that's something I've been missing a lot in other reverb pedals. I really like effects that are utilitarian, but at the same time have the capacity to "go weird" if you know how to turn the knobs right, and this one has that in good measure (and even more with the exp. pedal, I expect). :)

My only gripe with the Dimension is that there is a brief drop out in the sound when going from one preset to the other, or when changing effect modes. I guess you'd have to have all the processes running all the time to avoid this, though, which is understandably impractical. It would've been nice if at least the dry signal would come through to fill this gap. Once I get access to the "effect send" function and won't have to switch presets/bypass mid-song I'll be a happy camper.

I'm currently #82 and now have a Bass MWD Pro.

Also I seem to have a couple of issues
1) with the BEF - it is prone to just turning itself off on battery power - but when on mains power I have not experienced any issue. I have to unplug and plug the Guitar In jack to get it to come back on, which is not good in the middle of a song! Any thoughts?
2) One of the feet has come off the BMWD Pro - and I've managed to hold onto the rubber foot, washer and screw. But just trying the re-screw the foot on is not happening. I presume that either there is a nut on the inside or the screw is stripped. Again any thoughts?

Thanks

Writing my previous post reminded me that I wanted to try changing the Dimension to buffered bypass mode to see if that would affect its behaviour when swapping presets, and I discovered something that seems to differ slightly from how the manual discribes it:

When I powered up the pedal while holding the left footswitch, the left LED flashed three times confirming that the pedal was in true bypass mode. However, when I tried powering up with the right switch down, nothing happened.

I then randomly tried powering up while holding both switches. This caused both LEDs to flash thrice: first the left, then the right. Suddenly I get trailing reverb when I switch off a preset (which I associate with a buffered bypass, but still wasn't expecting), and the only dry signal I get when I bypass the effect is equal to whatever dry amount the last enabled preset was dialed to (100% wet on the previous preset = no sound when bypassed). Is this the buffered bypass setting, or have I stumbled onto something else?

Here's a thought:

Would it be possible to set an expression pedal to control the "Output Volume" parameter on the Dimension Reverb to effectively turn the pedal into a volume pedal for a preset one might otherwise not use the expression pedal with? Could be cool not just for some ambient swells but also for effectively turning the expression pedal into a volume pedal!

Yep! :bassist:
