This BEF Pro is giving me a headache.

I'm still having the same problems as before with my presets. It doesn't seem to affect LFO or Envelope presets, but it will not save knob positions when switching between HH presets.
I need one of my HH presets to be on X Axis and the other preset on Y Axis. Is this possible without having to manually turn the knob?

I've already tried the recall feature, but it doesn't seem to work on the BEF Pro? Can anyone help?

I tried re-saving the presets, and at first it was fine when I saved the first one.. I tested going between an Envelope preset changed the knobs and went back to HH preset and it was fine. As soon as I set the other HH preset, it went back to the way it use to be(not remembering the knob positions).

Erad,
Was this resolved? Mine is doing the exact same thing, and I'm sure it is something I'm doing wrong. I have my preset 1 stored with using the X axis, and I want to save my preset 2 to use the Y axis but when I change it (to the y axis for preset 2), and save the effect, then go back to preset 1, its using the Y axis too, not the X like I originally saved for preset 1.

Greetings, I just got my new MultiWave Distortion Pro and I was very excited to unbox it and start playing. :bassist:

Unfortunately, I cant seem to get it to distort! Is there a list of good patches out there anywhere so I can test this and make sure its not just me? (I've been playing and using effects for 20+ years so I hope its not just me)

The sounds on all the demos are awesome but the only sounds I'm getting are like a clean envelope filter or a clean synth sound. I cant seem to get anything with high gain or even medium gain... even foldback settings arent breaking up for me.

Is there a way to do a factory reset?

Oh and please add me to the user list. I will tame this beast and get my multiwave distortion on!

Can you confirm that it is a Multiwave BASS Distortion Pro?

Please turn the Clean knob down and the Distortion knob up.

Turn the DRIVE knob up, but be careful.

If your volume knob on your bass is all the way down, this could do it too.

This is VERY odd. Send a note to [email protected] if you get stuck.

Heh... yes, I tried the knobs in multiple positions and nothing was turned down. I tried multiple instruments and multiple cables. No, it is not the bass distortion, I opted to go with the MW Distortion Pro and a MW Bass Envelope Filter Pro because I play both bass and guitar depending on the gig.

I contacted support and they have been quite responsive. They tell me it sounds like I have a pedal that was not programmed properly.

At first they offered to exchange it for me but I live half-way around the world, they have since asked me to return it to the shop where I bought it so the people at the shop can fix it for me.

I'll let you know how that goes. My Multiwave BEF should arrive today... That will just have to tide me over for now

One way or the other we will make you happy!! Thank you for your patience. (hope I spelled that right)

Thanks! Much appreciated. I am sure it will be worth the wait. I would also like to say that your support person, "Jesse", is right on top of things. Good hire.

Jesse is VP of engineering and does all the hardware and interface design of all our pedals. ;) We have 2 people out this week, so he and I are on the front lines!

From the manual
12. LFO2 TO MODULATION AND EXPRESSION PEDAL TO LFO2 SPEED
This setting allows for the combination of an LFO with all of the BEF Pro’s primary modulation
sources (Envelope, LFO or Hot Hand). The wave shape of LFO2 is restricted to a triangular
waveform while the primary LFO is adjustable through the ‘LS’ parameter. The primary
modulation sources use the top panel depth and speed controls while the LFO2 uses the ‘XD’
parameter and an expression pedal for depth and speed.
So in short, it's an extra LFO you can use to modulate the filter. Tip: A shallow LFO + a deeper envelope gives a nice effect...

Sorry to re-post, but this kinda got buried and I'm sure it is something I'm doing wrong. I know Erad had the same problem and I didn't know what the solution was.

Lookie what I got. Thanks SA. I bet you could sell these to the S.A.S.S. members.

I've been getting the attention of the local guitar players with my fx, mostly the Hot Hand/BEF Pro/Classic Pro combo. I was approached and asked what it was. I listened to the recording and what I was doing is very close to the sweeping keyboard part in Edgar Winter Group - Frankenstein song when everything but the keyboard drops out. I'm obviously doing something different, but it has that choppy-wobble, sweepy feel to it. Man this stuff is fun!!
