Are the 1series boxes really smaller than the SB2? It looks like the 1series is narrower than the SB2, but are longer. I would think with power and patch cables, the sizes would be very similar. Would be cool if one of the reviewers on the tour could post a side-by-side of the 2 styles.

they are comparable to an MXR sized box. Very compact and full of power! They are def longer than the sb2 though

One Series Dimensions:
Length = 120 mm (~4.72 in)
Width = 70 mm (~2.75 in)
Height = 37 mm (~1.45 in)

Here's my review:

Short version - if you already like the SA sounds, these are fantastic pedals, even better if you're going to get into the Hub system and don't mind external parameter editing. If you don't know SA, this is probably a good way to get hooked. If you're on the fence, the routing potential may be worth price of entry, especially if (like me) you're considering a Hub system for the neuro loopers.

Long version:
Gemini - easily my favorite sounds of the three. Can go from subtle choruses to sea-sick vibratos, multi voice settings are nice, etc. I didn't find that the tone knob did all that much. This was the only one that really worked for me on all instruments.

Lunar - maybe I just don't get phasers, I've owned a couple (Boss, Eventide, BEF Pro), tried many, and can never find one that I like. The best use of the Lunar for me was running it with very high resonance before an analog fuzz. It also added some nice texture to synth sounds.

Aftershock - I liked the tube mode, but didn't really care for either fuzz. There seemed to be trade offs that had to be made to have high gain with low noise - I like fuzzes and distortions to feel a bit out of control, and these had subtle gating. Again, I liked the tube mode best, but it didn't really get nasty enough on my passive bass (had to dime the tone). None of the models sounded great before or after other dirt pedals, not sure how to describe, but it sounded like the Aftershock was on top of the other dirt, not cascading (I guess this is where clips would've been useful, sry).

All three held onto lows beautifully. I ran them after an OC-2 >> FX-25 for a subharmonic synth sound - even with all three on, my rig still pushed air. Some settings definitely pulled back the lowest lows with the vibratos seeming to make the biggest dent.

My main bass here was a passive with single coils (an old Gibson SB-300). The Gemini worked well, but the others generally left me feeling a little cold. When I switched to an active fretless (Spalt Magma 6), suddenly all of the sounds worked a lot better; for some reasons all my analog fuzzes come off as too harsh and sit weirdly on top of the fretless sound, but the SA pedals just felt normal. A big plus for me.

There were some bugs. Namely, the Aftershock was slow to come out of bypass, and the Lunar speed and wave shape knobs tended to lag a bit. But hey, it's a beta.

I like them, and would consider purchasing one or two depending on what the final set of routing options are. If I get chorus GAS, I'll probably pick up the Gemini.

I mostly run a Sanford & Sonny Bluebeard and DOD FX92. For my time with the tourbox my chain was: MXR bass comp >> FX92 >> OC-2 >> FX25 >> Lunar >> Aftershock >> Gemini >> Bluebeard >> amp. Used the 350W ampeg portaflex with an Avatar 4x12.

I also have a Fender Blender and Dwarfcraft The Great Destroyer (from a kit) that I use pretty often.

Last word for these and the Reflex was late April so I kind of HOPE you'll get them after they're released. Also, I thought you were in the middle of the list, ahead of me with one person in between us. It is working its way east to west
