SpaceX is putting a major extension on the starship quick disconnect arm right now.
A pretty cool description of the catch arms and quick disconnect/stabilization arms for the super heavy. You can also see the booster quick disconnect on the launch table.

It will be astonishing to see that actually work some day soon.
We are still animals at our core. The complicated psychological and emotional issues we've developed will never negate that.
Look at what any other animal or living thing does to it's environment when it has all the resources it needs, no predators and no competition. It eventually takes over, consumes all it's resources, then dies off.
The elk destroyed their habitat when wolves were hunted to near extinction in North America. They impacted the entire ecosystem, from the trees to the bees and every animal in-between. Not because they're evil. Just because they are animals. Once the wolves were reintroduced and the elk numbers became balanced, the ecosystem rebounded immediately.
What I'm getting at is, you couldn't explain to the elk that if they continued to overpopulate, it would destroy their environment, ultimately them,...and ask them to stop. And you can't explain it to humans either.
So, I propose we bring back a natural predator, to get population back in check and at healthy numbers.
I'm thinking T-rex. Maybe some velociraptors, cave bears and big cats for the colder regions, etc. Maybe some hybrids.
I know we can do it with advancements in clone technology.
Honestly, I haven't heard a better solution yet. Just a bunch of nonsense about electric cars and windmills, but that doesn't address the root problem.
So, we need to get our geneticists on this asap.
The thing is, with reintroducing a predator, is not that it eats a whole load of prey, and keeps the numbers down; what it does is change the behaviour of the prey animals, which allows the biodiversity to return.
I just don't think reintroducing T-rex etc would change our behaviour in a significant way.
If anything, it might make us stay indoors more, and be even more reliant on social media, and by extension electricity...
...And a rampaging T-rex could knock over a wind farm, like a row of skittles. So we'll probably rely on less outdoorsy fuel sources.
Most likely, a solar flare will send us back to the stone age, and a microbial predator will pick us off.
I think predatory dinosaurs would be a lot more exciting, but,....whatever works.
Speaking of space, a large impact would also do the trick. And it's also very likely to happen. The problem is "when". I just don't know if I wanna sit around and wait.
Dinosaurs is a solution we can make happen right now.
Gotta be practical about these things.
