I swear this is the backdrop to a bad sci fi I read in the 70s...

Hmmmm, where are they gonna land that thing? I can't imagine how loud it must be...

I think this is try #4 for a launch.

Forgot they were launching last night and didn't know they were on a southern trajectory. I'm in my house and out of nowhere is this huge Boom that shook the walls. I went outside expecting to see the aftermath of an explosion. Then I realized they had the launch. Loudest Sonic Boom I've heard in my area.

It lands vertically, so no long runway would be required. I imagine it'd be a little bit louder than a booster landing.

Please note that booster landing pads are well away from populated areas.

I kinda doubt they'd land at La Guardia, JFK, or Newark. A facility would have to be built near enough to be convenient, but far enough away that a mishap wouldn't thump down in Queens or mid-town Manhattan. Montauk? The Jersey Barrens?

Las Vegas has better options for landing sites. Even LA has better options for landing sites than NYC.

I can see why they do it, but how are they gonna get a really large station like in movies it they destroy the them as they get older?
