Perhaps Elon should rename SpaceX to The Spacing Guild and Tesla to CHOAM.I hope those rovers are driving without rhythm.
Astra launch today between now and 2 PM.
Oh well... Astra's second stage cut off early and they didn't make it to the correct orbit. They're 0 for 2.
We get deceived by how easy SpaceX makes it look, but space is hard. Really, really hard.

Yes, it almost certainly was tiny. Keep in mind that the Perseverance rover, which launched in 2020, uses a PowerPC 750 processor first released in 1997, and only has 128 MB RAM and 4 GB of non-volatile storage. NASA isn't exactly bleeding edge when it comes to its compute power. The computer I am typing this on has several orders of magnitude more capacity than their $2.2B rover!
Missed it rats, but just caught the replay - best landing views, smooth and glitch free all the way down, and possibly most perfect landing, I've ever seen!
