Frakkin' missed it! And it was clear here, too. Even from 140 miles away, you can normally see something. But nooooo, I missed it by minutes.Falcon Heavy launch of a USSF payload scheduled for tomorrow 9:40 a.m. EDT. The two outer cores will land back at Cape Canaveral and the middle one will ditch in the ocean. There won't be enough fuel left for the middle core to do a recovery landing.
If you're on the U.S. east coast, NASA will be launching another Antares rocket early on Sunday morning from Virginia, which – weather permitting – may be visible to us "earthbound misfits"*. Details at NASA's website.
