A major milestone for space exploration in the USA will be reached on Tuesday. A journey four years in the making:
NASA will ‘fist bump’ an asteroid to reveal the Solar System's secrets.
I learned about this watching the NASA Roku channel in the days following when Bob and Doug took off for the ISS. I spent a few hours reading and watching. Then I checked up on what Japan has been doing in this regard through their space program, JAXA.
More then a few times, what I read and watched went way over my head, but it was so cool and intriguing, I stuck with it.
I have only a few hours of my time invested here and I'm totally stoked. I can only imagine the excitement and anticipation for those involved from the start of this mission.

that's how I remembered it but long term space travel is a bit new, as is space potty humour.

Actually, space potty humor dates back to 1961 when Alan Shepard had to pee in his suit. First American to go into space, and the first American who HAD TO GO into space.:hyper::laugh:

EDIT: The Russians have kept their related information classified Topski Secretski.

Edit again: I'm pretty sure Yuri would have had to urinate on his historic mission.
