Agree with mr. knifemaker, boutiqueey. Though I like them a whole lot.

Beautiful but don't expect it to retain its value. I bought mine at a big discount. More recent sales seemed to go for even less.

I'd buy the spalted before I bought the redwood.

But then again I'm not a Stingray fan so technically I wouldn't buy either

I think they both look great, but the maple is so different aesthetically from "standard" MM stuff that it sticks out more, plus it has binding.

I MUCH prefer the Rays with painted bodies and birdseye maple necks and boards.
