WHAT DOES IT PLAY LIKE??.. I NEARLY BOUGHT ONE A FEW MONTHS BACK!!.. UNTIL I REALISED THEIR 'UNIQUE' SHAPE IS A COPY OF A TANGLEWOOD OR A COPY OF A CORT OR VICE-VERSA!.. STILL, MIGHTY FINE WOOD THOUGH!

It actually plays quite well. there's a bit of neck dive when you're playing sitting down, but I got into the habit of resting the wait of my arm on the body while I played to level it out. Where are you from? Cardiff?

I've owned this one twice...

...and a couple of other spalted beauties. I love the way a spalt reminds me of an old map.

To me, this is the most beautiful bass ever made. I want a 4-banger version someday. I have emails about #4311 to Kevin at Sadowsky dating from April '08. I was going to post a pic of it myself but you beat me to it!

Here's my 93' spalted maple Q5...from back when you rarely saw spalted tops.

The spectrum of spalting is amazing! Streaking, bleaching, discolorations, pure, combined with flaming/quilting, etc :hyper: Does anyone remember the spalted Black Knife that was in the one of the early 90s Modulus catalog? That's the one that got me into spalted tops!
