speaker blown in a 1994 ampeg svt-810e

or so it sounds; at high volumes, there is a farting sound coming from somewhere in the bottom half of cab. Any info on what speaker to buy? I know nothing about speakers or where to start looking.

It's probably an Eminence Legend BP10, but you probably ought to check before buying one. You might check and make sure everything in the cab is tight too. Maybe it isn't a blown speaker. Press lightly on the cone around the dust cap and see if you can feel the voice coil rub.

Info. Speakers aren't hardware in this forum. Bridges and tuners are hardware. You'll have best luck in the amps forum where the electronics and driver guys hang out.

You can buy an original replacement from Orange County Speaker. Here is the link. You can always have them, or someone local, re-cone your old one.

Check out the speaker first. I thought that I had a blown speaker in a guitar amp once, but it was a screw stuck to the magnet that was just long enough to rub against the cone on low notes. The screw fell out of the chassis from the speakers rattling the amp too hard

Ampeg has had their own custom speakers for the 810 since day one.
