bherman, please don't take this the wrong way and consider this post to be more for entertainment purposes and not so serious (yet serious).
One reason I would not pose questions regarding speaker cabinets on a guitar playing web forum is because as a (dive-bar) sound guy many of the guitarists we encounter appear to be nearly deaf from playing way too loud, and despite having nice gear, and being able to play very well, they often seem to coax some of the most obnoxious tones out of whatever guitars and amplifier they may have. I never make critical remarks to my associate about anyone we work with while the show going on but often when we are in the truck on our way home he beats me to it and says exactly what I am thinking about what we just had to endure.
