I hope not cause if I buy another Ric i'm not going to enjoy divorce and i'll probably lose my bass collection in the settlement too lolll
What's funny about the fact that they used to hide the prices is that if you selected all basses and then sorted by price you could tell pretty much exactly what they cost anyway.
My local GC had about a 6 month period where they had 2-3 Ric's in the store and on display all the time, then they suddenly all disappeared. Made me wonder if Ric pulled the plug on them, they are known to be pretty ruthless with vendors. It may just be natural demand cycle, a ton of used Rics for sale on EBay, its not like they are some rare commodity.

My favorite, often told Ric price story:
MF employee was giving discounts to Talkbassers several years back. A 4003 listed for $1900 if you called for price. He PMed me $1400. I called Americanmusical. Salesperson tells me $1900. I laugh. He asks why I laughed. I told him because I got a waaaaaay lower price at MF. He asked how much. I said $1400. He said without hesitation, "I can do that."
The world as I knew it shifted that evening...

Looks like 1600 to 1800 about wraps it up. That's usually what the email price checks return. Just odd to see it in "Print". That makes the GAS on my last "different bass" list painful just because I can actually see the price on something I can't afford right now. 
To add to that story:
So I called MF and asked what they could do on a new 4003. Completely unrelated person said $1,400. I mentioned a coupon code that came in my email. They entered it in and said "$1,099". I took it. Got a Midnight Blue one. Paint was jacked up. Sent me a second Midnight Blue one. Paint was more jacked up. Sent me a Fireglo one. Paint was great but the truss rod ends were buried in the wood. They were willing to send out a Mapleglo or Jetglo as well but I gave up. Should have stuck it out I guess.
Solution : Shop for RIC's at Wild Wood guitars. Best prices, amazing service and set up, plus if you're not an ******* they'll give you a t-shirt.
Planning a trip out there this fall. Looking forward to all of the bass eye candy!
