Ha that gave me a laugh because that exact noise came out of my mouth and then I scrolled and saw your post.
I thought maybe it was a convoluted way of grounding the strings, connect brass nut to truss rod, truss rod to ground = no need to drill the bridge ground hole.
Its isolated with the transformer so it technically doesn't need any ground at all
if someone , had a powerful CB would an ungrounded truss rod pick the signal up ?

The pickup has something like 400 turns and needs at least double that ,
I Want to say this transformer is a 1:20 but I kinda think it's more like a 1:30
It was for a ribbon mic .
The drum triggers work really good compared to my last rendition.
literally knocked santa clause off the wall downstairs.

Drum trigger thing is pretty awsome pair that with lots of distortion , isn't really room for to much more...I love it. See what happens when we have too much time on our hands.
So, how do the drum triggers work? The piezos are under the black pads, under the strings? Does playing the strings send midi messages? Do you tap the black pads? Along with the button on the thumb rest?

The piezo's are glued under the finger ramp the surgical tubing mechanicaly separates the finger ramps and bass .So, how do the drum triggers work? So when you dig into a string your finger hits finger ramps . Its dam near perfect timing.
If you dont dig into the string the trigger isn't activated. I'm not much into slap , that will also activate the trigger.
to hold a rhythm , it makes you play differently .
Pretty sure it will run on A pedal board power supply ,

Hopefully this pup does the trick...
literally hand wound this , I did little trick what I like to call carbon dusting ,
it Adds a little what I like to call sparkle to the top end and hopefully it will bring back some of the edge lost from potting.
