SPECTOR® Club - Part 21

Last month, I was going to take my NS-5 with me to a gig. :bassist: The band I was playing with tune to drop B so I had to tune the EADG up a full step. I went to adjust the neck due added tension of tuning it up and the rod was frozen. I figured I'd take the T-Rod nut out and lube the threads.

As I took the nut out a price of the brass block holding the nut came out with it!!! :eek: then :crying:.

On the following Monday, I contact PJ and he tells me to send the bass back to them.

I send it back within a week and a 1/2, I get my bass back!!! :bassist: There is a note from Jim Eppard starting "I replaced the T-Rod with the modern dual action type that we use today....."

People ask me, being a bass builder, Why do I play other basses? This is one of the reasons why. The other, well, we all know how awesome US Spector basses are. :)

Oh yeah gotta sick sinking feeling when parts fall out of the neck slot for the truss rod! :eek:

Hello friends!

I have a question for you. Does anyone know where to find royalty free backing tracks for bass?

I just want them to record and share on my soundcloud for fun. It´s not for commercial use. I would like some reggae and funk tunes.

I have googled it but don´t find anything good.

ME!!!! :p. I just don't like vertical woodgrains on a bass...I prefer cross-grains like flame, tunnel & quilted. :cool:

I haven't used them in a while. I ordered a couple of packs from Jason and added .130T B strings. I just don't care for untapered B strings much at all. Especially if they're over a .125 gauge.

We'll see how these do. If I don't like them, I'll probably go back with progressives.
