As I head to bed... Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow and that Santa is good to you all in the way of killer bass equipment and a few awesome SPECTORs...

I have a fretless NS-2A... I had it defretted and LOVE IT! I also put active EMGs and the TonePump in it.

This coming year it'll get a Haz circuit and a USA Bridge. :D

It's a great bass.

And I've been thinking about ordering a USA NS-4 fretless with the Piezo bridge. Dual EMG DC pups, a Piezo bridge and 18v USA circuit with a fretless... wicked. When I eventually spring for a USA Fretless... this will be the way I go... unless I opt for a E,A,D,G,C tuned NS-5XL with Piezo (fretless). Either would be a sick bass.

I'll order my next USA SPECTOR after NAMM. I already have it spec'd out. :D

Thinking about a fretless rebop.. But I really wanted a US Spector next year also... So maybe a fretless Legend?

I think a ReBop would sound great fretless but from my past experience, I would go with the least expensive model as possible. Just incase you end up not digging the feeling of playing a fretless.

One recommendation I have;
since both of your Rex 5 and Euro are both 35" scale I would say stay with a 35" scale fretless. The change in scale may really bug you as you learn intonation technique. Maybe a SpectorCore would be a good idea.

I remember playing that NS-2A! I

I might go the defretted route if I can find a low price on something used. Please when you have time if you could send me the info to your guy that did the defret and the aprox cost?

I was thinking the same about the 35" scale... However.. I'd have to learn intonation in a slightly different spot anyway.. Since I'd need to land where the fret would be anyway. Im still leaning towards a 5st 35" though

I think it's not ported also... I only know this because I wanted a non ported cab for my ampeg svt2 and v4 but didn't want to always use the 810e.. And found out they had made a 410e.

I've heard the 410e is voiced like the 810e. Not super heavy on the low end but nice and punchy. The pr has a boomier low end and all together different voice. Although ice could probably describe the difference better ;)

I was polling here yesterday and decided to buy the 810. GC has $100.00 on $599.00 or more and they had an 810 in Highland Park, IN. for $599.99 so I got it for $499.99 plus $28.35 shipping. :hyper:

Wait, you're the svt 4 guy. That's a great rig. Those are great amps. If I can't have tubes, then give me an insanely large power amp. It's just as good.

Ooooh yeah! The PR 410HLF has an awesome array on the sound spectrum. Huge but not muddy lows, full rounded clear mids, and glass shattering crystal clear highs!

It'll make somebody an awesome bass cab!!!:D

Thank you! I'm not the SVT4 guy...I have a PF-500. And it's a fantastic amp! It's a perfect match for the PR-410HLF...that I'm now selling! :smug: I'm so heeled up right now...SVT 810e, PF-500, and 2 new Forte's coming in 2012! What a fantastic year coming!!!!! :hyper:

That's right. I forgot you've played it. I was going to let you use it in the studio for your album this last summer... I totally forgot about that.

I'll PM you with the info on the defret work.
