+1 for me, I'm mega-excited for this.
Any other takers?

I'm probably out anyway money wise , but if the second color isn't black , natural , or amber , I know I'm not interested .

Hey guys, does anyone know who I should contact to get some Spector wear sent to Canada? I wanted to order a shirt off their store, but it wouldn't allow me to place an order as I'm not in the states. Thanks!
Also, I'm looking for some tips regarding home recording. I'd like to start recording covers (for my enjoyment and practice) but I may end up throwing them on YouTube or soundcloud as well. What frequencies should I be cutting out of the MP3 track I'll be playing along to so I can hear my bass like its in the original track?

Ok here is the survey of the 2nd color choice for the Forte Talkbass LE.

Any one else thinking the STD flat black finish on the Forte for color #2? Different colors are cool, but a std color Forte with the inlay would be instantly recognizable to others as a custom / LE deal. Any one with me on this one?
Since this is a bit of an oddity in the Spector world, I thought I'd post my impressions of this bass about a month after I got it. I've probably got about a hundred hours on this bass by now, including 2 gigs and numerous rehearsals.
- Fit and Finish: Impeccable, as always. I have yet to find a single flaw. The finish, while matte, is deep and beautiful. The grain in the wood looks three dimensional.
- Playability: Again, great. The bass is very light in the strap and balances very well. The neck is chunky, but comfortable and fast.
- Tone: This bass sounds great, like a jazz bass on steroids. It's got the classic Spector growl, but it's tame enough to be versatile in most band settings. Honestly, though, I've decided I'm not a fan of the Aguilar single-coil pickups. There is a significant amount of compression in the low end of this bass, which can only come from the pickups (I've had the same pre in another bass, so I know it's not that). I've tried it with different strings and setups, and I've isolated it to the pickups. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but I'd rather control compression than have it built into my bass. Besides the compression issue, I realized (again) that I'm just not a fan of single coils. The humming of a soloed single coil drives me batty to the point that I just won't do it, thereby limiting the versatility of the bass. I'll ultimately replace the pickups.
- Preamp: The Aguilar ODP-3 pre is a fine unit, but must be used in small doses. Clicking the bass knob just barely out of the center detent is all that's needed in most cases. Much more than that and the boost is quickly overwhelming.
I'll give her a nice home....That's a sick looking bass.
I'm pretty determined that my next Spector will be one of those NS-H models or an NS-2/4 body but with EMG JJ's. I still kick myself for letting that NS-2J-AR go. The 18V preamp with double J's I think would be devastating!
