I see there is an 18Vdc version as well. Cool, if you want to switch between 9 and 18...
Looks like a great idea to eliminate battery fail concerns - looking at the data specs....
70 for the 9v and 90 for the 18v pretty good deal, IMO.

Naah, I just change my batts every 6 months to a year ( emg says 3000 hrs for a PJ set) .

I saw that but thought it would just be another thing to fail, kick, come unplugged, or just generally have an issue with. Been playing emg's since the 80's, never had them die or any other issue, so i figured i'd just stay with good batteries.

They might, but it's doubtful. They only seem to carry the standard 45-105 set, and if you're lucky they have 5er sets with the .130. Sometimes with the .125 and sometimes they'll have all 3.

I once went looking to grab a 45-130 pack and they didn't have them. The salesman told me they stopped carrying them because DR discontinued them :rolleyes:

Isn't Bass Emporium kinda near you, or is that like hours away in TX land?

Actually my local GC does pretty well with bass string stuff. They've had some heavier gauges in stock before (surprisingly) and I haven't had to order them. I think I may have bought the .110 LR set before but that was years ago lol.
Maybe I will see if they have the .110's and just order like 3 or 5 individual .130's from DR and keep 'em on ice.

I seriously don't get why they don't do a heavy set friggin' already........ :mad::mad: I'm sure they're trying to push the DDT's at all costs, but as far as feel, tone, etc they're not even close to the HB's or LR's which IME are far superior strings. Is it really so hard to do .110 with a .135 set??

Also BE is in Austin, about 3 hrs away or so... :cry:
