I'm using Rotosound 66 at the moment. It is floppy feeling but ive been dropping to that area for years. my hands are used to it. .110s work well also. they just arent popular, and hard as crap to find in my area. so i just got used to .105s. they work amazing!

I see there is an 18Vdc version as well. Cool, if you want to switch between 9 and 18...Any tried one of these with their Spector?

Those look rad but only avail in a 4 string set.
See I always felt LR's were more "loose" than HB's but that could just be me getting it wrong, haha. I'd try DDT's again but they were way too dark from what I remember last time.
Stix, I don't know if this is what you were looking for but it might help....
That's the post...now I just need to find it so I can compare the sounds. Thanks...
Try the SS Lo Riders again. Stiff, bright, and last a long time.
maybe i can see if my GC has a .110 set and then maybe a single .130 low B....... that could work.

They might, but it's doubtful. They only seem to carry the standard 45-105 set, and if you're lucky they have 5er sets with the .130. Sometimes with the .125 and sometimes they'll have all 3.
I once went looking to grab a 45-130 pack and they didn't have them. The salesman told me they stopped carrying them because DR discontinued them
Isn't Bass Emporium kinda near you, or is that like hours away in TX land?
Check out bassstringsonline.com, they sell DR singles.....
Is it really so hard to do .110 with a .135 set??
I dunno. I've mentioned/complained about a few things to them, but they have yet to make any actual changes. Understandable, but frustrating.
Next on my list to to get a string endorsement![]()
