Well it was a fluke.I sent the blue in to get some work done, and it came back glossed!Oops! So I was like they ALL must be gloss now!I really like the way it sounds!....The looks don't hurt either! Two down, one to go!
When I was researching prior to buying my Euro, PJ Rubal told me that the gloss finished basses have a higher resonant peak than the matte, so I got my red 4LX nice and glossy.

The blue looks especially awesome with the gloss!

Dang that thing sounds great!
I'm a big Coheed fan. It really is too bad that mic Todd did what he did, but hopefully now he'll get the help he needs. He's been a big influence on my playing.

Yeah dude, what a fool I was!But good mistakes happen!I was cool with the matte,I would never gotten the gloss had they not messed up!Jimmy at the shop liked it to when you pluck a crystal glass, that's what it does to the wood!

Euro has been used as a model designation in 2 of the 4 Czech series of neck-thru basses (NSCR, NSCRFM, Euro, Euro LX).
"Euro" has just become kind of generic for them all when "Czech" would really be more correct.

I was going to give you a "Boo, hiss", but........:p

Not sure of the distance placement question, but FYI:
One of the cool things about the EMG soapbar P's is that they place the coils in reverse P fashion just like Spector does with the actual P pup.

Probably a pre 1999 Czech.
A serial would a long way to your answer.

You mock me, Sir..........;)

Mock you?Never!Just showing pix of the kids!

Aren't the tapewounds a little different from flats?
I remember reading about them somewhere but I forgot what the difference was. I heard they sound really close to an Upright, though.

From what I understand, I believe tape wounds are in between flats and rounds. I could be wrong though.

And did you tell bassstringsonline.com you were a TB member? He does a discount and it's sah-weet!

Is that a Euro 4 in that video? I see the Spector site lists him as using Rebop but I didn't think they had P/J on the Rebop unless it's a custom thing.

He started with an amber rebop during the SSTB era, I think he switched to euros during the good Apollo volume 1 era if I remember correctly.
Also, I've never had a chance to say it, but I dig the metalocalypse avatar. Its ams so metals.
