Well...no house power until Tuesday they said...:crying: atleast I got the 20 yr. old kerosene heater working filled with jet fuel to warm the house and my Spectors! :D Now gotta get some hot breakfast then work on the gas generator. I suspect old fuel gotta drain out. Talk about major bass playing withdraws! Everyone stay warm & dry! I'm thankful we didn't get hit by those 80 tornados! I hope & pray for those who wasn't as fortunate. Peace to all! God bless everyone!

Hi Icebox,
Man you guys got hammered in the midwest. We were supposed to see a bunch of snow from that storm but it just fizzled out. I hope everything is going better, best wishes.
Brent

Thanks Brent! There's 144,000 households that were affected with power outages in Northern Mi. 3400 in my county alone. Got the house temp. up to 55• now from 45•F. Atleast the water pipes won't bust. I'm keeping nice and toasty in my Spector Hoodie! :D Now I wish I had a acoustic Bass guitar. Haha Some areas of Mi. Got 24" of snow in 24 hrs. We got 15". It's all wet heavy snow too.

NICE! Put some black strings on it and you got a stealth bass.
I'll be putting DR Black Beauties on mine in the next few weeks and will post back here with my findings. Again, congrats, looks great and if it sounds anything like my REX5 Pro it sounds great also.

Black beauts sound awesome on the rex5 . Also they have tighter string tension than the Ernie balls I just put on mine. .

Make sure you watch for fumes on that heater! Those things can be dangerous. Warm and positive wishes going your way!

Man that sounds good! Is that the Axefx or the "Axesans" combo you have been using? Great stuff your drummer is toit!
Brent

Yup this is all axe fx! Every guitar and bass track. Bass is two tracks. 1 ampeg svt, 1 thru a Mesa like amp for grind/ dirt. Oh and I programmed the drum track too. Glad you like it! Thanks for giving me feedback!

everybody was out playing gigs last night... ;)
Had a great gig last night!!
I love the tone on that video.... he has since put it back to a 4 string... he said the neck wasn't happy with the extra tension :(

Man, I just love the tone you get. Is there anything else out there like the Axe fx but say, for like a thousand dollars cheaper? :D I would love to get one of those but it is just so expensive with even the standard being over a grand.

The Axe Fx ultra has really come down in price with the release of the II. I'm still debating if I want to get either one of them.

I'm using the Eleven Rack now for guitar and it's damn good. Not sure if I like the Ampeg model yet.

Really great sound!

What do you use for drums?

Many thanks! One this track i am using Toontrack Superior 2.0. I am using the Avatar kit, but i replaced the kick completely with a Slate sample. I'm not fond of the kicks in the Avatar library. WAY to clicky.

I don't know of anything out there like the Axe Fx except maybe the Kemper Profiling Amp, but those cost about $1850. Trust me when i say that the Axe Fx is worth every penny!!! Guitar tones, Bass tones....i don't think there is a bad tone in this box at all! If i didn't have one...i would save up for one. They can be used live to as well!

Yeah i almost got an Eleven rack, but i was blown away by the Axe Fx. It took me almost a year to save up for it. My Podxt and Pod 2.0 are just collecting dust on my desk since i got it.

Sounds amazing.

Thanks Limaguy!!!!

I added a chorus riff here:)
Hopefully i'll get to finish the song tonight.

Line 6 Pod HD vs. Fractal Axe FX - Metal shootout - YouTube

its genre specific, but a cool video. The key with ANY processor is learning how to use it properly. I ran a boss gt6 straight into FOH for 6 years (guitar) and people (musicians) always thought I was running an all tube rig, and ran a ton of pedals. A good guitar and about 6-9 months of tweaking and I found my tones.
