They currently have 18 used Spectors for sale. Same type of issue as Guitar Center lots of overpriced and mis-labeled models but there are a few good deals on there.

I love the headstock, blend of natural wood with the colour.

That is so cool when they do that. I noticed something similar on my NS-5 but yours is definitely more noticeable whereas mine is a bit subtle.

Was that an extra-cost option? Never seen one that wasn't black, and it looks great!



In other news I am confused.
The page of Spector history that contains the NS20004 and NS20005 is the SSD era 1990-1998, and the models listed on that page say that they were only produced from 1997-1998.

The weird part comes in when I contacted PJ about ordering parts he told me that from the serial numbers both my NS20004 and NS20005 were made in 1999....

So are these just weird basses?

I just realized that you can see one of my dogs sleeping in a laundry basket in my picture They love those more than pet beds so we put pillows in them and they think it's the greatest thing in the world, LOL.

if that was a real American made NS-2 for $800 I was gonna be all over it...but alas I knew it was an NS-2A...

I also love the painted headstock look, where the grain of the wood shows through! That was the first detail I looked for on my Forte...after the initial awe of opening the case that is!

That's really beautiful! The grain on the back is sweet too! Love the way the inlays set it off. Congrats!

I hear ya...between BPL & NAMM...sheesh! Didn't think I'd ever get my Forte 4. Lol And now the London Bass Show. Lol Keeping my fingers crossed for April 1st! Well worth the wait, eh!

On a non-Spector Bass note...ordered my iPad 3 tonight!
