USA Spectors... the headstocks have a layer of Ebony instead of black laminate like the other series do.
Because Ebony is a wood and the color varies from piece to piece... some are more noticeable, others not so.
The Ebony wood grain is much harder to see with the high gloss finish models whereas it's much more apparent with the oil and matte finished basses.
The Black Pearl's headstock is so dark you have to hold it under bright light to see the pattern, whereas the headstock of my NS-4 is more visible.
Another little thing that makes the USA models special. It's the little details that add up with the USA Series.

I just can't put this thing down. I was never really a natural type of finish kind of guy, but I really like the look on that rebop. The other bass I was referring to was actually this number 107498649
