Each style of music has it's own "needs" creativity doesn't only mean shredding at 100 miles an hour, it means doing the right things when they are called for. If the bass is busy, the guitar doesn't have to be and if the guitar is busy, the bass doesn't have to be.
Playing root notes all the time can be daunting indeed. But also is playing 10,000 notes in one bar.

I recently went to see a show (Puscifer) and it amazed me how the musicians gave their bits right in the exact spots where they are called for. Sometime holding a root note is essential, and then when you do a sort of nuance it opens peoples ears a lot more.

+1! It's harder to play slow than it is fast. :smug:

Well said! IMO, its fun to see/be a shredder, but I'm more impressed with a tasteful, musical approach to the bass.

...and Puscifer is AWESOME!!! :bassist:

Got a question. What sort of warranty and customer service do Spector have on their basses? I want to buy a used Spector but I'm nervous. The next bass I buy must be "the one" so I have to choose wisely!

Top notch customer service! The best in the Biz!!! I have never had an issue so I have never needed the warranty...but Spector is a customer oriented co. They go above and beyond to make you happy!

If you are looking for "THE" bass, look no further! I sold all of my basses and purchased a Spector Forte 4....I have never regretted it! :bassist::bassist:

**WARNING** Once you own one, you are tempted by many, many more! ...just ask Jaymi!!! :D
