Top notch customer service! The best in the Biz!!! I have never had an issue so I have never needed the warranty...but Spector is a customer oriented co. They go above and beyond to make you happy!

If you are looking for "THE" bass, look no further! I sold all of my basses and purchased a Spector Forte 4....I have never regretted it! :bassist::bassist:

**WARNING** Once you own one, you are tempted by many, many more! ...just ask Jaymi!!! :D

I'm researching Rebops at the moment but ideally I'd like a USA bolt on. So much money though.

I can't really go for a NT because they're a bit on the heavy side and my back is stupid.

Mel knows all about owning Spectors

They really are out of hand with their prices lately. They have a Euro 4LX in Amber Burst at the one by me and are asking way too much for it. They originally had it at $1499 but have since dropped it to $1399 but I looked at it and couldn't believe they are asking that much. All of the gold is worn off from the bridge so I didn't even bother trying it since there was no way I would pay that much for it.

A Forte 4 is 8.5 lbs? For real?

My Euro 5LX weighs in right at 10.5LBS if that helps at all. The necks on the Fortes are totally different then other Spectors, though, so make sure you dig that.

I too, have a bad back after a quad accident two years ago, but I don't find that playing my bass puts too much strain on my back, but everyone's situation is a little different.

Best of luck!

I have a place close by (who's name I won't mention), but they're the only place with a Spector higher then the Legend series on the wall in town. Anyway, they're asking $1299.99 for a red rebop 4. It's quite dinged up, and the fretboard isn't in very good condition.

You can find nice Euro 5's for -$1000 if you look hard enough.

So the red NS2A is now singing with the preamp restored and it is GROWLY!!! Thanks for Sam for the pics and chat while surgery was being performed! and of course, to Cory for the pre!!

How does "Red" compare to your amazing sounding black "Crown Jewel" NS-2A?

I like the idea of having a volume and a blend pot while still maintaining the Korean 9V HAZ copy tone.
