Never tried one of these. I have the DUNLOP 105q and love it though! I did have the Morley blue bass wah. It was pretty nice. I used that for years.

The looper is made buy a local guy here in Vancouver, Marrs Pedals.
It can do either either channel, both or none.

i love my m-80. with all the different material we play, it gets what i need. and yes, it never goes off! :D

The M-80 is a beast. I used to have the Sansamp DI, but traded it for the M-80. I use it on with the distortion blend for some dirt and it gives me a LOT that UMMMMPFFFFFFF! :)

I'm going to make a video for John soon for tone demo with the M-80 blended with the Tech-21 XXL :D

Yeah, lower than most of my other basses. I don't know what strings are on it but they are tight and the pickups sit high so I can play with a real light touch and still get plenty of growl and punch. Unfortunately my B string is closer to 2mm off the 12th fret and any lower creates a little fret buzz around the 9th fret which, to solve, starts the whole tail chase with adjusting neck relief, nut cut, saddle height, intonation...
So for now I'm very happy with the low set up and fast neck. I don't use my B string more than about 10% to 20% of the time anyway so all is good, at least until I change my strings. Wish I knew what strings are on this thing, I like 'em.

Cool! :) I like low action and I don't mind fret buzz at all, depending on what I want to achieve. Sometimes that buzz adds a little bit of something when I play aggressive...maybe it's just me that thinks so haha :P

I'm on the same page, I like a little fret buzz.... My action isn't as low as you guys, but its very easy to play.... I need to fly Sam out here or go meet up with Patrick one of these days

Nope :bassist: I used to think fret buzz was horrible, at the same time I was looking for a little grit and just couldn't figure out how to get / what to use to get, what I wanted. I recorded a few tracks and my E string sounded good but kinda lacked character, I hit a few notes on the A and there it was. I played it acoustically and the A had some fret buzz but the E didn't. I dropped the E down a bit so it buzzed like the A, and I'll never make it not buzz again! lol. Not a ton of buzz, but a little bit, and I try and get em to do it everywhere pretty evenly. Never been happier. :bassist: :hiding:

On my NS-2 and Forte, the buzz is pretty much even across the fretboard. I keep my neck almost dead straight! :D

Cool. I'd have never thought of that approach. Now you've got me second thinking my setup and different approaches to getting different sounds. I'll have to mess with one of my less used basses and see how I like that kind of a set up. Thanks for the not so traditional advice. The Spector clan is great.

I was always looking for that slight bit of not quite distortion, not quite overdrive, but just grit and I never could find it. Always thought it was the amp or a bit of distortion. I always set my basses up low but without any buzz before. I tried that and it was just the ticket. There's a decent window there on the action too. Acoustic buzz does not directly translate as to what's comming out of the amp. Another + for the ampeg 810 is that fret buzz works really nicely with the roll off of the cab on the highend. The spectors will handle quite a bit of buzz before it really comes through amplified as well. Sometimes you gotta throw the book out the window lol.
