Ended up paying around $1350 shipped on the eBay plus tuner for $70. I know it's a bit higher than the normal but I have no regrets!

Congrats I have one too , refinished with a tonepump and I love it, I have a euro lx coming this week too. It has some serious shoes to fill.

Mr. Sanford whats your opinion of the Mesa Big Block 750 or anyone else that is familiar with it? Some guy is selling one locally. Thanks in advance! :bassist:

It is an amazing head. I love the range of tones you can get out of its simple eq. It has a really nice tubeyness in its preamp that feels really nice to play on. For me, its perfect with my Spector. Brings out the growl. \m/ And it handles the tone pumps powerful signal wonderfully. Oh! I forgot to add, it goes down to 2ohms...
I'd Snag it up.

My old CRFM project so far.

I decided to fix this bass up starting with a refin rather than the natural finish that was on it. This is my first time doing this. :hiding:

I was originally going to paint it gloss black but the paint that is supposed to be gloss black comes out like a matte finish. So I've decided to go with matte black with no lacquer as I already have a glossy Spector.
The finish still needs to be sanded with wet & dry before it looks right but I think it is coming along ok so far.

That is just beautiful! The NS-2 is a bass that has been the object of my lust for years. Hopefully, I wil get one before I die.;)

Very nice ReBop 5 DLX!!! I like the looks better than the natural that I had. Congrats! How're liking the sound so far?

Love the sound on this bad boy. I know some people aren't really high on them, but I love the tone pump and the EMG HZs. I don't play with other people in a live setting, so it's me, my iPad, my basses, and my amps. Mostly small practice amps as my wife and daughters don't like it when I go beyond my 40 watt. LOL

What's real nice is it's giving me more tonal range to work with when recording into GarageBand on my iPad using the basic amp heads it the software. Much more than my Warwicks do. I can see why people want to keep adding more Spectors -- I'm already GASing for a Euro 4LX. I've never owned a neck-through and I've only played a few for a few minutes each, so that's probably next on my list.... Some day.

Hi Spector fellows! Does anybody use Markbass heads or combos with your Spectors and what's your impression?

I tried a Markbass 2x10 combo at guitar center with my Spector, it sounded good, just...way too clean. Could not get any grit and it just felt...boring to me. Maybe cool if you like a super clean sound with little to no coloring from the amp.

that's exactly how I feel about it. I used my markbass when I played Pedulla and it was a perfect pair. But it doesn't feel the same with Spector. It doesn't "support" Spector's character. I only use it 'cause it's the lightest and most portable rig of such power range (400 Wt cab is only 12 kg!).

I use a LMII. I use to pair it with an Ampeg 410HLF and love, love, LOVED it.
I'm currently looking for a 2X10 to pair with my MB head. I'm trying to downsize.

The thing I love about the MarkBass stuff (at least my LMII) is that it puts out the purest, uncolored tone that I've found out there. My Spectors sound just like they're suppose to. My head eq settings are all on 12:00, with the VPF and VLE at zero, or tweaked a tad depending on the room. I can't say enough great things about my Spector/MarkBass pairing.

Cool, thanks Lima! My strings from BassStringsOnline showed up yesterday so I can get the DDT's on it today.

Seriously impressive service from jason (SLaPiNFuNK), shipped from west coast to east coast, I ordered a few sets Wednesday night and they got here yesterday. Highly recommend buying from him, unless you absolutely have to have strings the same day and go to a music store.

+1 Got my first order from him in just a couple days and at a great price!
