Yeah, but it's not stalking if the UPS guy likes it when you sit on the roof and tackle him as he tries to sneak away after leaving your package on the porch. After all - he keeps coming back. That must mean he likes it.

So, I've been mulling getting a 5er and still debating 34" vs 35", neck through vs bolt on - but it ultimately will come down to weight. I've been in email tag with BC and was thinking a solid white Rebop 5, with the neck painted to match - with possibly chrome hardware.

My choices are as follows:

Brubaker Brute 5 JM - red with black pickguard

White Rebop 5 - ideally, if and when it becomes a reality, I'd like to have DC and an MM pickup at the bridge.

Ok, so I got a back-to-back gig at a casino this weekend, but they require us to bring our own in-ear monitors - they'll provide the transmitter packs - so I got these from Amazon

Anyone else have experience with IEMs? Any dos or dont's?

Yeah, I'm thinking I like the white Rebop myself - we'll see. The NS-4CR looks sweet, wish I was in the market for a 4 banger.

I actually use those exact IEMs for the price point they can't be beat.

its all preference, but in my experience if there is a mic set up to pick up the "room noise" then I wear both ears in. If I'm singing, I always only use one ear. If you create your own mix (aviom system) then you are set, I love those. If you get your own mix and the sound guy is good, you will be good, just make sure to get a good seal on your ear or you will lose all bass response.

the Shure 215s have good clear bass tone, especially for a single driver.

My band doesn't use IEM unfortunately...I wish we did.
I bought the Shure 425's and got a silicone mold for my ear. The sound is unbelievably balanced and clear! I love it!!!
If it was up to me we'd be going IEM's! Then no one complains about one being too loud or whatnot.

I tried with no luck.

Mini ViceGrip Pliers work great. Just have to compress a few times near the ball end.

It's funny some people love em and some people hate em. I much prefer "live" sound with amps and stage monitors.

Don't get me wrong. Hardly anything can replace the sound of a good amp when jamming. But for the sake of balance in the ears and some other band scuffles that may or may not occur...I wouldn't mind wearing them at all

Hi all Spector wizards!

I had a NS-2A a couple of months last years that I really loved!
Since I play metal on it, I tuned it BEAD which sounded good.
After a while I start missing my G-string a lot so I sold it and bought a SSD NS5CR instead. Great Spector tone as well!
But now I think I liked the P/J pups more (when I compre recorded sound clips) that the DCs.

SO here's my question:
Will I come real close soundwise to the PJs if I changed the pups to 40P5 and 40J instead of the DCs? Anyone tried that?

Definitely gotta throw my vote in for the NS-5H2. The USA Spector bolt-ons are waaaayyyy under rated in my opinion. It will cost more than the others you listed but.........
On the weight issue my NS-5H2 weighs in at around 8- 8.5lb.

What strings are ya'll using on your EURO5XLs? The B-string in the D'Addario Super Long 5-string set is too fat to fit in the saddle. I've been using Spector strings lately, but I've broken several. I play fulltime and need a string that last a bit longer but fits. I've used Ernie Balls on it before too with some luck.

I use Elixer Nanowebs on my Euro5LX. Most people hate them though for some reason. To me they sound like slightly broken in steel rounds and they stay that way for about 6 months, for me anyway. I get them from Bassstrings online. I get the 4 string set and a taper core B string in a 130 gauge.

Hey Guys,
So I finally put a set of Rotosound's on my Euro. Oh my Where did that sound come from? Very crunchy in the mids (Just like they are supposed to do, duh!) I think Doug Wimbish might be on to something I'm going to have to do some EQing of course, they really opened up the top end and grand pianoized the low end. Good stuff though.

I am also in the same situation. I am seriously considering a bolt on 5'er! ...I would just like to play one first...
