Hey Guys. I just received a text message from Sam Cerami(Limaguy) and unfortunately he is in the hospital and is going to be kept overnight so they can do a cardiac catheterization tomorrow. He had some irregular heartbeats today so he went to the doctor and they saw something in his EKG so they recommended he get checked out to make sure.

Sam is a really great guy and goes out of his way to help everyone so lets send some good thoughts over to him so everything goes ok. When I get more information, I will definitely share it with everyone.

Thinking of you Sam. Prayers sent your way. This is one of my fave reggae bands. Bass look familiar? :) Third World Band -Live at Amnesty International Concert Giant Stadium NYC - YouTube

Get well soon Sam. Buy yourself a new Spector when you get home :)

Guys, I've seen a Rebop 5 DLX for a very decent price but I need to know an average weight for these models. Does anyone have one they can weigh?

I know John's rebop is very light but it's an older model.

Thanks in advance

Thanks everyone, it really feels great to get so much prayers and support from everyone. :-) The first blood test came back neg for a heart attack. They will still be doing the cath tomorrow to be on the safe side. Crazy thing, I actually enjoy looking at the cath monitors when they do it. They even give you disc of it to take home. :-) This will be the 6th time. I will keep everyone updated. The ER has WiFi

Sam, play some crazy 70s porn on your bass while your there so the "hot" nurses can dance.....What??...They didn't let you bring your Spectors and amp in the room???....What kind of hospital is that?...Don't they know the Spectors help your heart???....Get well buddy! :bassist:

Hey Sam, good luck in the cath lab today. Like everyone else, I hope that it's completely uneventful, and that you're back home soon with a Spector strapped to ya (instead of ECG leads).

And digressing for a second, it is amazing how far the cardiac technology has come over the past 4-5 years. (For my day job, I am a proposal writer for radiology and cardiology PACS at Philips so I actually know quite a bit about the monitors and underlying IT systems.) Now that everything is digital, it is cool to keep a disc of your images :bassist:

I just weighed my new Rebop 5DLX for you and I got exactly 9.5 pounds. I should weight my Warwick Thumb as it seems so much heavier than the Rebop and I always assumed it was around 10 lbs.

Are you tone pumped? :p

Sam is the expert UPS hunter. :D

So, I've been mulling getting a 5er and still debating 34" vs 35", neck through vs bolt on - but it ultimately will come down to weight. I've been in email tag with BC and was thinking a solid white Rebop 5, with the neck painted to match - with possibly chrome hardware.

My choices are as follows:

Brubaker Brute 5 JM - red with black pickguard

White Rebop 5 - ideally, if and when it becomes a reality, I'd like to have DC and an MM pickup at the bridge.

NS-5H2

What do you guys think?

Forte 5 with OBP3. EMG 40P5 40J!:D
But if not the the NS-5H2 :)
