I actually prefer the SSD-era logo as well as the truss cover. :) Looks so bangin'............ :bassist::bassist:

I recommend a hard side case. I bought one from Musicians Friend for $58.00. Same manuf. that makes them for Spector except it's not preformed cut out. Buy a nice wide 3.5-4" leather strap or the soft comfort strap thru Spector. It'll save wear & tear on your shoulder.

You might try Meguiars #2 Fine cut cleaner followed by #7 Show Glaze. Unless you are familiar with using a buffing wheel, I'd apply it by hand. Sure it will take longer, but burning through a finish really sucks.

Just scored my first Spector last Friday. A turquoise-stained NS-2A. Looks blue in this pic, but it's not really. Several hours of tweaking and we're in pretty good shape! Really digging it so far.

Anyone know where I can get some correct knobs? Weird thing about this - the pot shafts are fatter than normal. I tried a few types of knobs from my parts box, and none of them fit. :confused:

You need knobs with a set screw for smooth shaft pots I think. Sounds like you got the haz copy in there. :) good deal!

Man, Memorial Day is only five weeks away, and then I go to pick up my Rebop! I played a used Rebop at the local store again today, and that bass has a ton of usable low midrange. The Rebop has a ton of booty with the bridge pickup soloed, even the slap tone is not overly thin. I have always loved a Warwick Thumb, but with the Rebop, I probably won't need one. This Spector is going to be a great alternative to my TL-5.
