I've always dug your avatar & wondered what a big pic of that bass would look like - that is a great looking Spector, and one of the nicest tops I've ever seen on a Euro!
Before I ordered my USA NS4 from BC a few days ago, I was seriously considering the green Wimbish Euro they have in stock, but yours, with its gold hardware & killer quilt, really is something special.

SAS - will it never end? I haven't even recieved my blue NS4 & I'm already eyeballing the redwood-topped NS4 at BC....

I know... SAS is relentless!!! Only ordered my Coda 5 and I'm finding myself wondering which one is next! Hahaha! It never ends... I'm thinking maybe I'll start a search for a Brooklyn or Kramer era NS-5 but not until this summer. I need to wait for more $$$ to replenish on that money tree first. Lol

Okay, soliciting some opinions. I've been seriously considering turning my blue Euro4 into a fretless. My ever-patient luthier in Ohio appears game for yet-another one of my ridiculous projects.

So, here's what I want to know. If you could concoct a fretless Spector to your liking, what would it look like? I have to do lined, since let's face it. I'm just not that good. Haha! I like the idea of side dots on the lines like JPS has 'em. Inlays or no inlays? I heart my Forte with no inlays but the canvas on this new undertaking is pretty much blank. (This will be a completely new fretboard since I want to do something totally different without the Euro inlays.)

Also checked out a couple more vids you posted on YouTube of session. I especially like the Blues one with you playing "PINKY"!!!! That really is awesome!!!! That sounds familiar like I've heard that not too long ago??? Pinky sounds great but the Brooklyn was made for that song!

With all the recent talk of fretless Spectors and conversions, I figured I'd repost this:
An NS2A I did about 15 years ago. Completely replaced the board with a slab of Ebony. The angle/curve at the end was meant to mirror the angle/curve of the headstock above.
The pickguard was because I replaced the Spector/EMG Select PJ's with active EMG JJ's and had to cover the remainder of the P route.
The "white" in the 12th fret area is just reflection. This is a scan of a pic from my pre-digital camera era.
