f the w word!!!! dude post some other pics soon!!!!:bassist:

Missed your new bass day man, sorry and congrats!

Sweet Alex Webster bass man. Yeah, all Spector's come strung with Spector nickel strings so that would explain why your hands started turning black after playing for a while. To be honest, I really like the Spector nickel strings though and will most likely put them on my Euro 5LX when it is time to change the Hi Beams.

I believe there was a younger kid in here a few months ago that had an Alex Webster bass and had pictures of himself playing it at a school recital. It was funny seeing a blood stained bass being played at a school thing like that :)

Seeing those knobs makes me want to drop a BQC into my Euro 5LX. Those are the stock EMG knobs that come with the pre and are really cool looking. And anything thinking it's a lefty bass, he is most likely using a web cam so everything looks backwards on it.

I was going to say the same thing, I thought there was a younger guy who got one from Bass Central a while back, had a nice story about his parents laying it away for him maybe? If my memory is right....Great bass though man, EVIL.

and +1 on the black fingers, when I got a Doug Wimbish Signature a couple of years ago the strings turned my fingers really black.

I'm sure you're scary-smart, and we all know that. Please don't nit-pick my statements. There are plenty of tech-nerd threads where that is welcomed.
It has incredibly low action, and the pickups are very close to the strings. The two are not related and I realize this.

Gotta love the internet...everyone's a genius.

Fair enough. I'm jealous though, so cut me a break. I'm sure that is a tremendous instrument; I'd love to have one.

Ugh!!! What a bummer. I agree with Grendle - stick 'em!
Whatta let-down. However, if you gotta fall back on something, a U.S. Spector is about as good as it gets!

As for stickin' em' I'm going to sleep on it and see how I feel tomorrow.

I told husky123 and LimaGuy that I was ready to order a USA 9V HAZ for my Forte as soon as my S.A.S fund was "Forte-fied!" Seems that I now have no excuse:hyper:

S.A.S. is funny, as I should be completely satisfied with the amazing basses I already own. But, searching for the next great Spector is such an enjoyable endeavor:help:

You where totally RIGHT! I DO :)
I like it so much I am debating on rolling a bass to buy another one. :D

Lol. That's the S.A.S.! There are lots of other great basses out there, But there's just so much right with a Spector. The tone, the playability, the quality of the craftsmanship and the materials, and just the synergy of it all. It's hard to go back to other basses. They can be cool and do their thing, but the smile you get when you pick up the Spector is just fulfilling on another level. Congrats on an awesome one of a kind! :)

Yep SAS for sure.
I look at BC website an drool!

Then go play yet another damn NYS Lottery ticket.
Cross my fingers....eyeballs and shoelaces and hope! LOL :)

I REALLY love the 2012 NAMM "coral Reef" one off that I found. Would be an amazing stable mate for this red and orange LE.
Might be listing a bass or two to make it happen in coming days. Trying to talk myself into it :D

That coral reef bass is sweet!

I should only have a day or 2 before I can pull the trigger on mine. It's killing me! Lol

Now, I'm gonna go plug this thing into my Cafe Walter and see what kind of sound I can get outta the EMG BQC 18V...

Wow, dude, that is frackin' awesome! I'm starting to wonder if the blood paint job is unique on each bass. Of course, still using the same idea as designed, but perhaps each one needs to be done custom. For some reason, yours looks different. Maybe I'm crazy. Killer bass... literally! :bassist:

Yea never saw anything like it before..
It is the perfect opposite of the one I grabbed too.
They would make one heckova pair.
Just need find a way to hurry up and let go of something to grab funding before it is gone. :bassist:

Fire and ice! Very nice indeed! Jon got the other one off "mistake" bass from the show. The cool flat green with the crazy melted looking quilt. Their some beautiful works of art.

yea saw that one...awesome.
Is that what they were on off "mistakes"?
Meaning they try a new finish and wing it and it worked? lol :)
Cause I really never saw anything like that coral reef bass before in color and overall effect.

Don't know on the coral reef, I think that one was planned as a one off for the show. I think JP said john's was supposed to be a new first time teal color. They were in a rush to get it packed up for the show and when they got it unpacked it was pretty drastically different. Turned out to be the talk of the show!
