The strings are barely 1/4" off the pickups...I can't even play it without touching the pups.

yeah. check the warwick thread and read how he went running to his warwick buddies about backing him up because he said what he did in this thread. trolls and 14 year old kids. about the same mentality!
"I might need some Warwick backup soon I just told the Spector Club I would never sell a Warwick for a Spector as Ive seen a few people doing as of late, Tonewise it gets no better than Warwick period." troll words!!
Sick!!!! Hows the neck? ???

...and more...
Now, I'm gonna go plug this thing into my Cafe Walter and see what kind of sound I can get outta the EMG BQC 18V...
I think you are the first in the club to get the Alex Webster Sig model, except for JPS who designed the blood stain.Zitch said:Yeah, it was my attempt at a little humor, anyways keep puffin your chest we all know your a bada$$ over there in Kansas, I wouldnt dream of messing with you, ima go hide now.
Anyways the rest of you guys keep posting pics of them beautiful spectors, especially the blue flamed ones, would love to have a usa with the maple board but alas sitting under the bridge bullying tokens from the passers above doesnt pay like it used to. =)
Awesome bass, but you do know "action" isn't about pickup height, right?
Worldeeeter said:I like it! The fret spacing feels a little farther apart than my Euro5 (also 35" - it's probably just in my mind). There's a small amount of controlled fret buzz, but the neck is fast and feels great.
I assume it's strung with Spector strings; I need to play that tinny "new string" sound out of them before I decide if they stay or go.
Yeah, baby!!!

I'm interested in the front to back thickness. That's supposed to be the thinnest 5 neck Spector makes. Anything to compair it to?
Oh yeah! My Forte 5 about same, maybe pinch lower. This thing has the LOWEST action I have ever played EVER.

Those ARE the sweetest knobs stock on a modern Spector. I didn't know they came like that?! Cool!Plus, the COOLEST knobs I've ever seen!
