Anyways the rest of you guys keep posting pics of them beautiful spectors, especially the blue flamed ones, would love to have a usa with the maple board but alas sitting under the bridge bullying tokens from the passers above doesnt pay like it used to. =)
I like it! The fret spacing feels a little farther apart than my Euro5 (also 35" - it's probably just in my mind). There's a small amount of controlled fret buzz, but the neck is fast and feels great.
I assume it's strung with Spector strings; I need to play that tinny "new string" sound out of them before I decide if they stay or go.

I'm sure you're scary-smart, and we all know that. Please don't nit-pick my statements. There are plenty of tech-nerd threads where that is welcomed.
It has incredibly low action, and the pickups are very close to the strings. The two are not related and I realize this.
Gotta love the internet...everyone's a genius.

I'm interested in the front to back thickness. That's supposed to be the thinnest 5 neck Spector makes. Anything to compair it to?

Oh yeah! My Forte 5 about same, maybe pinch lower.
Those ARE the sweetest knobs stock on a modern Spector. I didn't know they came like that?! Cool!
You have an awesome Spector Bass!
Well, we're talking fractions of an inch, but the subtlety is noticeable. I can keep my thumb dead in the middle of the back while fretting much more easily that with my other Specs.
Especially on the first few frets; trying to fret multiple strings on the first three frets at the same time isn't such a wrist-breaker on this one.

That bass is sweet!!! Can you record sound clips?
Not at this time, but this video is a good overview of the sound you can get out of it:
The mid EQ knob with the adjustable freq. is really cool; there is a LOT of sound contour control right at the bass (OBP).
