AWESOME!!!...specially like the way they did the side dots!! :bassist::bassist::bassist:

Fellow Spector fanatics, I just made the single most significant & longest waited-for bass purchase of my entire bass playing life. Ordered just minutes ago, it should be here in a few days. Real pix to follow, but here are some teaser pix from Bass Central's website...

Sweet bass man, congrats on the purchase. I have to say, the pictures JPS posted of it make it look so much better. The ones BC had don't do it justice compared to Patrick's.

beautiful bass there! ^

some Spector porn for y'all.

Hahahahahaha. I get what you just did there. That is hilarious.

That is one of the sickest looking basses I've ever seen. So jealous....in a good way. Congrats.

Anyone know where I can get an after market hard shell case to fit my NS4CR? I should be getting my refinished bass back tomorrow!!! :stoked:

I say go for it!!!! I have my name on HG Thor's list. He does some of the best conversions out there. I'm still like a year and a half out and its gonna be around $400! :bawl:

It's a good thing I live near a big music city that has several top notch luthiers, because I'm not that patient!! :D

Wouldn't it be cheaper and better all around if you just replaced the fretboard with a new fretboard? Biscuit Bass just replaced a fretboard on his Euro. Looks great!

I followed the JPS idea and I ended up buying Black NS-2A that needed new frets for very cheap and I de-fretted it myself.

Its not nearly as pretty as the Pro job that JPS has.
But it really sounds great. :bassist:

I rarely play fretless but just wanted to have one with the comfortable Spector NS body feel.

In the future I will most likely get a pro touch put into it with the epoxied fretboard.

I say, keep your eye out for a cheap NS-2A that needs work and slowly fix her up.

I might just do that too...but I'll replace the whole fretboard instead I think. I've always want a fretless bass and a good NS-2A would be just the ticket. Or wait patiently for an old NS-5 fretless, since I want to stay with 5 strings. :D

Is this were I tell you that I played that bass a couple of weeks ago when I was at BC? She is sweet sweet sweet.....I gave her a WP Factor of +15.

OMG!!!! YOU JUST GOT SOMETHING VERY VERY SPECIAL.

I've played this bass. First. It's beautiful and has a really nice, thinner than normal neck... more like a Kramer than a current Woodstock neck. But still thicker than a Kramer.

HERE YOU GO!!! The serial number on this bass is WRONG.

It says "NS-2" And this is clearly an NS-4. Stuart has only done this two or three times in the history of the company.

I posted about this bass back last October, urging anyone who wants a unique Spector to grab it.

You are going to LOVE LOVE LOVE this bass.

Here are some photos I took of it.

:D

Wow congrats man! Gorgeous pictures, it looks like dark blue tiger stripes!

Well HG Thor is really expensive! Brian at the Low End quoted me $200. He also said that super glue was "better" than epoxy and looks/feels the same. I can only imagine by better, he means its more durable...I may find a Euro5LX! :)

With all this talk of fretless Spectors, has anyone tried the one model they seem to make that comes fretless stock, the SpectorCore semi-hollowbody with the piezo bridge? That seems like an interesting bass and I haven't really heard much about them.

I've been tempted... but they're only available in 35" scale... and I only play 34's.

Hey Spector peeps. Curious have a chance to pickup up a '83 Spector USA NS-2J, serial no. 023B. It's an early bolt on. HAZ lab, original case. It's black. In pretty darn fine condition. Just wanted to ask the Spector geeks what the ballpark market price is on something like this.
