SPECTOR® Club - Part 33

:hyper::hyper::hyper:

Just checked the UPS tracking number for the millionth time today and it finally updated. My Rebop 5 left Illinois today and is slated to be delivered tomorrow. I'm not going to sleep tonight and I'll be thinking about it all day tomorrow at work. I've already thought about calling in sic(k).

Anyone know what type of material the nut is made from? Please don't tell me it's a crappy hollow plastic one like I find on so many basses nowadays. Of all the parts on a bass to go cheap on, why cheap out on that?

That's awesome! :hyper: Hate to be bearer of bad news but my 2009 ReBop 5 DLX came with a graphite nut. I ordered a brass Euro from Spector for $25.00 and replaced it. What a amazing difference!!!

Long time player, first time Spector owner. I don't know how I've gone this long without one! Acquired this in a trade here on the TB classifieds. I hear this is the club to join, could I get a number? :bassist:

My Euro 5LX /w Poplar Burl top.

Congrats! That is a gorgeous bass!!! I had one just like it and it was definitely a fantastic instrument! I installed an aggie OBP-3 and man did it sound mean!!!

Congrats again, Welcome to the addiction...umm..I mean club! :bassist:

Here are some shots of the new (used) ARC6. I am really surprised with the build quality. I may replace the tuners with a better set and dig around in the parts bin for some nice knobs. But otherwise, this is about the best lower-end guitar I've procured in a long time. For $212/shipped from GC, my son's going to be stoked. :bassist:

Graphite is fine, as long as it isn't hollow plastic. :rollno:

Yup, my Rebop 5 has a graphite nut and that thing sounds find to me. I had another one created for me that was brass to accommodate thicker strings but Sam (Limaguy) ended up filing it for me to fit the thicker B string and it really turned out well.

Welcome to the addiction and that sure is a sweet bass. Shoot a PM to Tracebassplayer and he will get a number for you.

Very nice! You cannot beat that price and they really are beautiful guitars.
