Hahaha, he sounds like exact opposite of me. Most of my responses on here are like a book but I am just not a phone person at all. I am literally on conference calls 8 hours a day though so that is most likely why I am that way.

Sam has made comments to me a few times about how I am not a phone person so my solution was to install Skype. It's like a happy medium for me and I don't mind chatting on camera or through IM.

I am right there with you John! I have no problem typing or hanging out via skype, but I usually dislike talking on the phone for any extended period of time!

John Campbell from Lamb of God has (the 4 string models) of the same P+DC combo on his signature Jacksons, and I've heard it live and man is it aggressive. So, I would think that would help bring out the more growly, aggressive tone I'm used to. I'm sure changing the strings will help that too, as I'd want to be certain I'm keeping the ax before I spend the $$ on a pickup replacement.

That was me! last week I got a 35 P and 35 J to try in my NS-4. I tried out a couple of combinations, and the DC in the back with the P in the front sounds really good, especially if you like the "P" bass sound. I was disappointed in the J in the back position, the DC sounds good back there IMO. Next is to try the J in the front with a DC in the back to see about a Jazz bass sound....

I was going to try to figure out how to record some stuff this weekend, maybe I will switch out the pickups again and try recording the different combinations.
