That's interesting, USA bolt ons usually have MOP inlays, right?

SO it's get a Wenge neck, Birds-eye fretboard and Abolone inlays, pretty cool. Do you know did it come from the fatory like that, or is this the work being done?

Either way, pretty cool.

Very cool indeed. It came that wayfrom the factory. The bass belongs to Eduardo Garcia. He has some of the coolest Spectors ever made.

So a lil update...
I threw on a "true" 5 string set and tested out the 'Bop, and while I like it, as others have posted it's just not "doing it" for me vs my "brown" NS-5... So, if anyone is interested I'd be happy to trade + cash for an NS5CRFM/Euro5 of some kind if you'd like to test out a really nice example of the 'Bop.

BEM necks get abalone inlays.

The disassembled natural gloss body. I am guessing the "USA" in the neck pocket means that it was for export to America.

The back of the maple body. The plan is to spray the back and the neck solid. The front figured maple will get a trans finish in the same color. Gretsch Cadillac green. Going from one of 83 to one of a kind and destroying the resale value. Oops. No matter. These dont have a great resale anyways. Though in 10 years, who knows? Tonepump with trim. Volume, volume, bass, treble. I am in the minority that loves his Tonepump. Though I did think long and hard about the HAZ just for the sake of being true to the 1983 version. Although I understand in 1983 you could get EMG electronics or the HAZ. Is this correct?

They don't have great re-sale value and you may as well get a color you will enjoy.

Although I love the Haz, The Tonepump will still sound great in this bass, with alot less pull from your wallet.

Cant wait to see it when its finished.

Hey guys, my Spector Legend Classic 5 fretless is really troubling me. It's tone is very high and tinny. Far from a deep tone. I don't mind the trebly tone as long as it's full. Unfortunately it's not very full sounding at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Run both pickups full, bass boost about 80% treb at about 60%
