First and most importantly (IMHO).....the links are live from grendle's last show. Awesome show grendle, as always! You can find them at my YouTube channel (

And for everyone following the fun on Saturday night...

Sam. He said yes. :D

I'm SOOOOOOOO excited!!!

Have you set a date yet? :hyper:

Not yet. But soon. We don't want to wait too long.

Remember I can edit the video. :bassist:

What? You're not coming? You're invited you know.

Only if we can play lima's sexy riff. ;)

My pleasure, just let me know which bass and pre you want the riff played from. :bassist:

The Forte.

So then what are you and Grendle and Sam's riff up to? Sorry, but after all those posts the curiosity is killing me.

Either that or sombody's planning an intervention.......

:hiding:

No - there will be no intervention. At least, not in the conventional sense.

There will, however, be a Spector Story (no, not mine). :D You guys are just too quick on the uptick.

Well it is not in perfect condition but about as close to perfect as I think you can get for a 25 year old bass. Just a few scratches on the back. Nothing bad...mild player wear.

With the cash I am getting I will be in it for $500.

I think its worth it. They are amazing basses - all maple bodies and necks and the wood has been aging for a long, long time which has adds to the killer cutting tone of these. It's what Donny calls them the "hidden gems" of the Spector world (that and the Rex Pros) because you can get an all-maple Spector with the NS body shape, and great hardware, pickups and a great Haz Lab copy pre-amp, which you otherwise cannot get unless you get a USA made bass. Not even the Euros have these design features. For $500, plus you getting cash in your pocket to take with you, it's quite a deal. And if you change your mind, you won't have ANY problem moving it quickly here on the Club site or TB in general. Someone is almost always on the look out for one.

One of the great things about Spector and all the various preamps and pickups to choose from is that EVERYONE can find that sound in Spector that has been in their head and searching for a long time to find. No matter what Genre' you play...there's a Spector out there for you.

GORGEOUS!!! They have the most amazing feeling necks! And I love the "Forte" style flame top and satin finish. Congratualtions! I think you just gave Wilson some pre-Euro LX 6 envies ;)

Let us know what you think of the dual coil TW EMGs. They get really mixed reviews here on the club so far as I can tell, mostly leaning towards the blah. But some people really dig them and it will be interesting to see what you think of them in a 6 string.

Anyway - sweet bass - enjoy it!

well-i just plugged her in and i am amazed at the amount of output from these pickups. i dialed down the tonepump to about %50 from almost flat out full.
nice set up sounds very modern. time will tell if it is for me or not.
the neck seems about as narrow as you would find for a 6er which is good for me.
and yes-i know wilson is lusting for this exact bass...

Okay, pics as promised (poor quality)

That immediate amazement you got when you first plugged that bass in is what hooked me and I haven't looked back since. I can't believe they keep the tonepumps blasted at 100% like that but you sure need to be ready for it :)

Glad you are liking what you hear so far and keep us posted with what you think about it.
