This one comes down to personal preference I think. I had the MXR M-80 and really couldn't find the tone I wanted to I bought the Sansamp RBI and could not be happier. The one thing the RBI has over the BDDI is the separate mid control but the price is definitely higher and you can't go wrong with the BDDI.

That being said, there are some that are huge fans of the M-80 and like them over the Sansamp so i would recommend you try both out if you can.

I've had the RBI & RPM. Great units. I had Mike Putnum mod my BDDI by adding a mid control. Kind of an RBI in a pedal/DI now. Works great infront of my GK when I want to add a little tube emulation.

Here it is after a through cleaning, I smudged it a little moving it around (as you can see). I played it before taking it apart and to me these late model Bops have a wonderful sound, I would honestly not change a thing with the sound.

Wow. I've never seen so much brown in a black bass. That's beautiful. ;)

I know delucajohn2000 has posted this in the past, but thought you might like to hear some feedback on the Jammit app. I downloaded all of the Pantera VDOP, including Piss, and it was one of the best music training related investments I've made in a long time. You can isolate Rex's bass and be blown away by the tone and brilliance of his playing and mix in the band at a level of your choice. It gives you tab or notation with a line showing exactly where you should be at all times. You can even mix out the bass and jam along. Incredible! I played more with a pick last night than I have in years.

The best part is Queensryche is coming soon. The entire Empire record. Interesting that the only two complete records they will have are Pantera and Queensryche. Apparently we are not the only Spector tone crazed people on the planet. :bassist:

I'm glad everyone is enjoying this app. When I first started using it, it didn't seem too popular and I could hardly believe it since it was so cool. Then they added the Line6 integration and released the Windows version and the thing really took off so I'm glad it's catching on. The more popular it gets, the more songs they will release I am sure.

I really wish they would add the Line6 integration for bass though. It seems like Line6 has completely shunned bass players which is very frustrating so I guess I will have to hang on to my Bass Pod XT since everything they release seems to be only for guitar.

That turned out really nice. That had to take a little courage to do. Kudos, man! I keep looking at my natural CRFM like a turkey around thanksgiving. It's day is coming, just need to figure out how to cook it first and what to stuff it with.

Black stain and blue seem to be the two I'm leaning towards.

I mentioned somewhere along the way that I was going to be selling a nice NS2A ...I got it in today and I am going to post up the pics here for you all to see. Basstovsky has first dibs and then if he does not want to snag it, I will post it in FS...if anyone has questions, PM me.... :)

Looks just like mine, except for the figuring on the back. That doesn't look like the standard alder backs. Very nice.

sorry. wasnt trying to make it sound like that. theyre great basses for the price. which in my case, was the right price at the right time like my ns-94 :)

It actually sits in real nice. I'm not used to playing along with people and typically i'm playing over other peoples lines. There were a few times while jamming Pantera lines where I would hit a bad note and stop playing, and suddenly there was no bass. I was like, wow, I was actually playing along... And it sounded good! Considering I'm playing straight thru the Markbass micro with no effects, it sounded really good. I'll need to get a pedal of some type to get closer.

Cool. The pantera stuff will definitely get your picking in shape. Rex is an incredible pick player. So is John Campbell from Lamb of God (also on Jammit). His tone isn't as good (Jackson, not Spector) but his playing is incredible and you can tell he was influenced by Rex Brown.

I have noticed that I love my Rebop's slap tone with the treble turned down a bit when I am playing by myself. I have found that when playing with my choir band (drums, keys, guitar, bass) I really need to turn up the treble to be heard, and it actually sounds good. This is a great example of how a bass can sound different by itself, and in the mix.
