I dont want to offend my good buddy,BrotherbassJ,but i didnt think the Carvin B1500 head was ANYTHING other than very powerful and heavy to gig with..Im not trying to say it was bad,its just not what i would call "Pimp"quality.I couldnt find any warmth or quality TONE in it,i tried for 2months!...Im gonna stick with my Ampeg SVT7&4PROs..Maybe flirt with Markbass again, something about how my Spector 5banger punches with the LM Tube800 through my 810e is like, well,PIMP!!! Just saying,Carvin aint wowing me so much with the B1500 guys...sorry J.F. and Lee,i just wasent impressed with the B1500...Lets get back to Spectors anyway!

You definitely have a right to your minority opinion.:D It would suck if we all played the same amp anyway.

Yeah I agree with Lee......the B1500 is a versatile amp. It has replaced legendary amps like the Mesa Titan and Aguilar Db750 in more than just my arsenal. To each his own....I still love my Carvin, and also like my Thunderfunk. Every amplifier has capabilities for those of us that like particular qualities. I've blown up 3 ampegs to date. I won't play them anymore. We all have had different experiences with some of the same amp companies. Play what you like.......I can't help it if I have good ears! Lol

I live in Mass....take my basses out regularly in freezing weather to extremely hot weather and never had a problem. Basses in my past I had problems with but not Spector baby. The Rods are overrated baby. :bassist::bassist::bassist:

I have two Euros and I have to adjust the rods on both of them nearly once a week(!) to keep the neck relief I'm used to. BTW they both respond in the same manner, I even know how I'll turn the rod on the other one after I adjusted the first one.

Back in the last thread (or maybe the one prior), I shared my annoyance with the seller of the Spectorcore fretless that I picked up on ebay a few weeks ago. Anyways, the seller somewhat reluctantly agreed to take it back, and refund my money. He never did 'fess up to the damage near the input jack, and tried to blame is on the package place/shipper. Somehow, I highly doubt that /they/ dropped it, then used a Sharpie to conceal the damage :scowl: We'll see how long it takes him to cough up the coin. Never again with ebay. I'm sticking to the TB classifieds from now on. :rollno:

Well we all know that UPS and Fedex people carry sharpies on them to cover up anything they damage right? :D I am with you on the Ebay thing and have had too many negative experiences on there so my buying on there is very limited. One other option to consider is Guitar Center though since they have a 30 day return policy for the used gear. I have had great experiences with them but I know others have had issues but since they have the return policy, you are covered on that.

Yeah, that will be my other option. The return policy provides some decent security. Ebay is such a BS hassle.:spit:
