I love the look of the Forte's. Super classy, they really nailed it.

Happy NBD Donny, Looks Awesome!
A cool short video preview of my band live from our last couple of performances.
Rockin the Forte!
We finally found a drummer...and we're breaking him in!

Yeah, that's insanity. The good kind.
Icebox: The Straplocks came in!
Thank You so much, man!
Didn't expect them in Gold: were these from when you had the Ian Hill?
I put them on, and that slight touch of Gold among the Red & Black is just right...

Well yes, its the Forte4 that I got last week. What makes it new is this!

I honestly believe this should be mandatory equiptment for Forte owners. The difference is worth it. Subtle, but worth it.
how does she compare with the NS-4CRFM's?![]()

Congratulations Bassie! You have an amazing Forte 4!!! I do love the tone of the 9V circuit!how does she compare with the NS-4CRFM's?
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!! And welcome to the Forte / 9v family!![]()
Thanks! I still believe the CRFMs to be the best bang for your buck in the used Spector world. Having said that, if you can score a Forte do it. There are a few subtle ingredients in the Forte recipe that take it above a CRFM. The not so subtle ingredient is that Stewart Spector is directly involved in crafting them. The magic, for me, seems to reside in the neck. Being a thin profile kinda guy, I was worried about the "baseball bat" reputation. Could not be further from the truth. Solid yes, baseball bat, no way. Its a small diference and mostly resides with the individual. If you own and play a CRFM, you are playing a fantastic sounding and feeling bass. If you own and play a Forte you really do have a USA NS2 that happens to be matte black and have a no inlay fretboard. The Aguilar OBP 2 happens to sound excellent in a Forte. Upgrading to the US 9 V kicks it up to growly tone nirvana.
