I guess I misunderstood. They said it was out for shipping today. I guess they meant on the truck to me!

I'll post some bad cell pics soon, but here's one of the man himself with my bass!

You can see the ultra amber a little better...I'm very happy with my choice of wood! They made the neck to the specs of my '97 NS-2 so it's very Kramer like. Can't wait to plug her into the SVT rig tonight! :bassist:

Someone said Sadowsky is overpriced. I own 2 and can say that just like Spector, great quality, a sound uniquely their own and wonderful people to deal with. Handbuilt in NYC by top notch craftsmen, you get what you pay for. Look, everyone can't afford the cost of a US handbuilt bass like Sadowsky, Spector, Lull, Alleva Copolla, etc. However, there is a real "cost" to pay skilled American craftsmen and workers to handbuild custom instruments with the finest materials and parts. Perhaps that value equation doesn't work for everyone that could even afford it, but I think the term "overpriced" is the wrong term to use. My decision to buy a Sadowsky NYC and Spector Woodstock not only got me the basses I want, but supports small businesses in the US that still manufacture in the US and pay living wages to skilled American workers. I feel the same way about buying from Mesa Boogie, which I've heard some people call overpriced as well.

I agree!!..I love spending on high quality too!!..Some people say the would love to die with lots of money in the bank and get by on scraps. I think the goal is to die with the least and enjoy your time.....SPEND, SPEND, SPEND!!!!...or someone else will enjoy the hard earned money you made. ...You only live once, enjoy it!! :bassist::bassist::bassist:

I have seen Nino on the Spector threads, I think he is a Spector fan if I am not wrong. Seems like a cool guy and I have always wanted to try out one of his basses. That transparent blue one is really cool looking!

Killer!! Congrats! I think I have been waiting to see that bass about as long as you have been waiting for it! Love that Ultra Amber color, just awesome looking!

I think so, I think (could be wrong...)the 18 volt with the extra headroom is maybe just to clean and maybe polite for my taste. Again, not putting it down at all, it is a great preamp, and for slapping it just sounds incredible, the best slap tone on any bass I have ever had, but I am just not going to play that much slap bass....
