That bass looks familiar

i haven't tried the Aggy pres in a Spector, but the EMG's sound good IME.
Love the Aggie in my NS-5MM. Didn't love the EMG, though...she sports a Bart now. Much better!
NS-2J now has DiMarzio Area J's. HUGE improvement.

That NS-5 looks so tasty but I gotta have 35" on my 5's, I don;t have the dough for that kinda Spector anyways!![]()

I generally agree, except this one has been just fine for me and no significant/noticeable difference in the performance of the B even up against quality stuff like my 55-94 and ex Q5's, MTD 535's, Dingwalls, etc..
If I ever order/get another Euro or NS-5, I'll try to get it in 35" scale.
Yeah, but that is no ordinary NS-5 you have there![]()
some of the best B strings I've played have been on 34's. musicman and ken smith both seem to do a good job of it. I'm sure the 34" ns5 is awesome.
i had a very nice EBMM SR5 earlier this year and i was actually kinda disappointed by the B to be honest. one of the reasons i moved it.
My experiences with 34 scale 5'ers has been hit or miss on the B. I find the 35 scale basses that I have owned (Spector/Lakland/Modulus etc) are pretty consistent with the tightness of the B!
