So Beibers bassist is a Spector artist? I listened to "beauty and a beat". Or whatever the name of that song is with Nicki Minaj......nice use of a lot of octaves......bet he makes a fair salary playing those lines.....

It would have to be...look at the torture he's subjected to by having to play with those 2!

Related to this, is there any advantage to having a 5-string bass installed with actual split P pickups vs. the 40P5?

Looks. Also, from the pictures, it seems like they're using the 4-string split P on the 5 strings...they don't seem to be offset like the 5 string pickup. Unless I'm mistaken and the 5 string pickup isn't offset at all and has equal spaced casings?

Yeah I noticed that too. I thought about asking to have my NS-5XL cut for the actual split P and J, but decided to just go with the 40's so I can switch to DC's if desired.

The one big advantage an actual P pickup has over the soapbar version is that you can set the tilt of the two bobbins separately to better match the radius of the strings.

That make sense.

I keep forgetting this. :P

That's why I like having 40s in my ReBop & NS20005. It's a much more versatile route. EMG, Bart, SD...probably other options, as well as EMG making all of their other pickups in the same casing, too!

Omer,

I finally got to watch this video. Love it. I'm inspired. Now I want to leave work and go play. :bassist:

Thanks dude! :) Ditch work and play!! :hyper:

NBD Brooklyn, only had a min to play it before heading to work, but it's nasty!

OH YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now you know EXACTLY what I mean when I say MOJO!! :bassist:
Congrats buddy!

Stupid question of the day, what does Rebop mean?

From my understanding it is a "take off" of Bebop which is a form of Jazz.
Stuart is a big Jazz fan.

Here is the definition of Bebop and below is a photo of an old ReBop ad which shows the noun & verb definition. :bassist:
