I need to research those new glocks! I am going to try my Mesa m6 this week at the gig with the DC equipped euro which also has the us18v pre......I'm bringing the tfunk because I'm concerned that with the mega pillowy lows the Mesa brings, coupled with the DC and 18 v.....I might have too much low??? Is this possible? Lol. I will be using my Aguilar db112 and db112 NT.....for reference

GLOCKENKLANG!!!! :bassist::bassist::bassist:

Holy moley!

One of the best looking finishes I have ever seen on TB. That looks insane.

NBD for me too!!! I've been waiting for this one for a while. Sent a photo of Jackson guitar I had seen on a USA PC1 I saw called Purple Daze. Thought it was too cool. Let me know what you think!

thank you for your prayers and kind words. i was diagnosed last feb. i do have strong faith and i KNOW i will win!:smug: i completely agree with the comments about spector = healing from some members. i walked into that bass shop in chicago after a long day of hurry up and wait just to find out everything is being pushed back due to my normal dr dropping the ball:confused::rollno:... and i started to feel my hands sweat when i saw the first spector. (i have only a performer and i do appreciate it for what it is, after all it is still a Spector!) it was a buckeye euro 5lx. my hands are usually very cold as a side effect to treatments/ meds. i got home(a 3 hr drive) and walked into the house and my girlfriend grabbed my hand and couldnt believe how warm my hands were. being me i went to make sure i wasnt running a high fever. i was a cool 98.3... im convinced it was the 4 spectors i held and played somehow helped the circulation in my hands... they are still warm today. anyway, thanks again. :bassist: and sorry for the ramble...
Great story and thank you for sharing! Nonsense about rambling! On here in our club family, we love to read/listen to our brothers/sisters lives. That's pretty awesome about your hands turning from cold to warm! I know that on any given day, after I play my Spector, the world seems well balanced within my life. That's one of the reasons I try not to miss a day of playing my Spector. I didn't learn the truth of music having healing effects until about 2 years ago. I'm a believer in music healing now.
Spector Performers are great basses! I had one and a lot of our family here had/have. I'd love to play a Performer 5 sometime. Mine was a Performer 4. There's Spector artist that are Pros on stage in front of thousands that are playing Performers. :)

I've never had a chance to play a maple fretless, but the maple boarded 5ers I've played were all nice. I can't honestly discern a huge difference in sound between the maple & rosewood, but the feel is different. I prefer the feel of rosewood, but the look of maple.

The only difference that I hear between a Pau Ferro vs. maple FB is the Maple sounds just a bit clearer on my Coda 5XL. I think a fretless with maple FB would sound very nice. But I wonder if you'd still get the "Mawah"? :eyebrow:

I'm going more towards a rosewood fretboard but my Dingwall Combustion 5 has a maple FB and I love the way it looks. I love the way the Rebop5MM looks but I don't want another blue bass as my Euro 5LX is a blue stain, and I'd really prefer a two pickup configuration.. Custom Rebop it is. I'm really excited, but the wait is gonna kill me. :bassist::hyper:

Here's one I just picked up. It's a 1985 Brooklyn 2J bolt on that looks and, even better, SOUNDS phenomenal! It's a nice departure from the PJ setup. Just a growly, open and airy tone. Like a Jazz bass on steroids. The USA 9V and two J pups go together nicely.

Black is back!

Awesome Pics!!!

Nice snag Jeffro!

That bass is sweet..... 2 black basses in one day... today is a good day!

:bassist::bassist::bassist:

Nice one Lee, I had wondered how a 2J from that or the Kramer era would sound. Might move one of my NS2's one day to fund one, if I can find one. Please post some clips, I would like to hear how it sounds direct thru Monique. It is always nice to have many tonal options when recording.

Who's Monique?

Congrats Jeff, this is your color and hopefully the neck is the way you like it. What's the tone rundown on that beauty?

Neck is a little bigger than yours....Liking it!!! :bassist:

Yes!!...but Lee is a much better pic taker than me thats for sure. Those pics are Beautiful!! :bassist:

Funny, I was just listening to Back in Black. Seems appropriate today! Nice acquisitions, guys. :bassist:
:bassist:
Whens the US tour start ? :D
Next Tuesday in Boston.
The sign of a solid record. I played it in my car the other night and my wife didn't tell me to turn it off... or even down. :bassist:

Mine likes it too...;)....and I have found this cool multi quote button.....

I have been looking for this sound. Now I know what bass to be used but there no such basses around(. BTW is it lighter than necktrough NS-2? And how do you find bolt-on? Interesting because I now realized that I'd rather play bolt-on cause I use a lot of slapping and BOs have a sort of faster attack.

Awesome bass indeed....but ever try slap with a Modulus Flea Bass? :bassist:

That's gorgeous for sure! :bassist: To have a NS-2 in that Green with AAAAA maple top would be a dream come true!

Whoa!!! That would suck! :ninja:

Congratulations Jeff on you NBD Kramer! :bassist: What year was it built?

It's a sickness, what can I say.:spit:

Lee and Jeff -

Blackend is the end.
Winter it will send.
Throwing all you see.
Into obscurity!

Happy NBD, guys!

To War!!!
Has anyone seen the new ultra-amber NS-2 they just got in at Bass Central? Stunning....
