Yo Donny,

Just got done giving your album a proper listening on the treadmill at work. Love, LOVE, LOVE IT. It rocks from start to finish. My current faves are "Suffocate", "Get You Nowhere" and "Epic Failure" for its time signature.

You and the Spector's are handling the low end for sure.

Congrats again mon!

I've said it before and shall repeat it again...........i like "Epic Failure" To me the way the bass kinda drones in is cool..........and the way the singer kinda sings to the beat a little! :bassist::bassist::bassist:

I'm going more towards a rosewood fretboard but my Dingwall Combustion 5 has a maple FB and I love the way it looks. I love the way the Rebop5MM looks but I don't want another blue bass as my Euro 5LX is a blue stain, and I'd really prefer a two pickup configuration.. Custom Rebop it is. I'm really excited, but the wait is gonna kill me. :bassist::hyper:

That'll be awesome duke! Atleast you'll have 90-120 days to wait and not 7-8 months. Ill be waiting to see that magnificent beast! :bassist:

I almost did, but the 35" scale scared me. I figured I wouldn't play it so I passed. Great deal, though.

I feel ya, I purchased a Euro 35 at Guitar Center years ago,bad idea .I have very short arms ,and the reach to the first position was very difficult for me. Great bass ,awesome B, but it went back to GC. I also had a Lakland 35 same thing. The bass I'm having built now is going to be 33 scale ,which makes me wonder if Stewart would build a 33 scale NS2?

Related to this, is there any advantage to having a 5-string bass installed with actual split P pickups vs. the 40P5?
That's what I've been wanting also, split P. I wonder if Stuart would do a custom build using a single P on a 5r?
Yeah I noticed that too. I thought about asking to have my NS-5XL cut for the actual split P and J, but decided to just go with the 40's so I can switch to DC's if desired.

That make sense.
That does make good sense using the 40 cases, if you want diversity.
NBD Brooklyn, only had a min to play it before heading to work, but it's nasty!
Congratulations!
Wow! I love how this one has gray on top half and burl on the bottom half. Always like it when there's a knot on the upper or lower horns. Congratulation on a gorgeous bass!!! :bassist::D

Donny...I received your cd Tuesday! :D I was going to listen to it in my car on the way to practice last night and I forgot to bring it. :( :crying:
I'm going to listen to it thru my Bose Home stereo 7.1 system today! :bassist:

Loend68 was closer to the actual number without going over (A little Price is Right humor, LOL) Per the Spector site, the Shorty model is 30 3/8" scale.

Speaking of The Price is Right.

Did you that Spector basses are sometimes given away as a prize on the Price is right?

Here is a clip of Spector Artist Lynne Davis playing on the show.

Kinda funny on the prices these people are giving, :rollno: we only wish they could be that inexpensive. :bassist: :p

Yup :) She posted that on her Facebook page recently so that was how I saw it. I think there is one with Marty O'Brien as well if I am not mistaken since I remember him and Rex talking about it on one of the NAMM videos.

Yeah. I filmed that. Rex was ribbing him pretty bad about it.

Rex... "I saw you on wheel of fortune or whatever..." A loose translation.

Just looked at the new SpectorBass site and I noticed the Mike Kroeger MK5-USA is missing from the list of Signature models...did they discontinue the US model & just keep the blah Korean set neck? :(

I'll be there.

Haven't finished rolling everything out yet.

Doug Wimbish's USA NS-2 is also missing from that initial page.
They'll be part of the main pages for those artists. It's just that WAY more Europe Series (Doug) and Korean Series (Mike) are sold than the USA models.

BTW... how did you like the new site?

New site is great, I check it every few days. Things seem to be getting updated/corrected. There was an issue with the sub categories of the Euro line (links went to USA basses), but it is fixed now.

Great job Patrick, I built our band page and it was plenty time consuming and far simpler than the spector site
