She made her home safely . Gawd Spector rules . Thanks again Superfly bass and Daves guitars.
I think that once you try it in the all maple winged NS20004, you're not going to want to part with it.![]()

over all fit ,finish and std build ( making sure the bridge is straight and square, etc.)
lets be honest, fenfer build quality sucks on most instruments , even the usa ones (but their usually better). The MIJ's are some of the most consistant and best IMO. Go play 5 fenfers and see what you get, go play 5 spectors and you tell me who does the better work.
The attention to detail and quality of work on the korean spectors is some of the best on a mass produced bass imo. starting form the 80's. Stuart started them up doing quality work and showed them what was expected and exceptable. Import companies can and do do some great work, as long as they know what is expected an exceptable.
If you build a 1000 of anything you cannot help but get good at it. If you build 1000 and the quality is not up to par then either there is a major issue in the build process or you don't care that your building junk. if you build 20,000 and still have the same issues as day 1 , then you obviously have made the decision to build and sell junk.
well for those of you who give a hoot, i got the tonepump working in full force and it sounds so good. im glad i got that pre. cant wait til the 3 year old wakes up from his nap so i can get it with some grand funk later on.oh yeah!

i am looking for some ideas on an amp to go with my(soon to be mine) spector. i really liked a 500 watt GK combo at gc but i would like the input from a few spector bretheren... any will be appreciated. i plan on test driving what i can tomorrow and thursday while im in the chicago area.
i really only need a good practice amp but i would like it to be something that i could use in a band situation if need be.
I recently bought a GK MB112II based on the GK love from those in this club and it does go very well with Spectors.
If I could go bigger without getting divorced I would, but the 200 watts is plenty for practice at home and it worked well in a three piece band setting.
What are the sub $1000 models to be looking for? I keep checking eBay, but I'm not sure what's a good deal, and what's just priced correctly. Im probably gonna have to order a Spector this way, unless I can find one within driving distance.
I was fortunate to buy the heritage svt cab that belonged to our brotha Chris Loe. This is truly an honor for me.

you looking for new or used? if you're looking for new it will be a Korean bass. legends are good solid basses, but the Czech made bases (rebops and eurolx's) are going to be out of your range.
if you don't mind used (plenty of us here buy used exclusively). you can easily get a rebop and very often a nice used neck thru euro, eurolx, or NSCR bass for under a grand. the Czech basses are boutique quality with the main differences being neck construction and electronics. rebops are bolt on, and usually have emg HZ pickups, the neck thru basses have active EMGs.
