Another P/DC convert here. I tried this briefly in the 5XL when I first got them P5 and J but I decided to put both DC's back in. Swapped the P5 and J back in today and liked it a lot, but that DC in the bridge gives the nice meat back to it with the great bark of the P5 on top. Going to keep it like this for a while. I dare say I almost like this sound as much as the Kramer NS-2.

I like this sound very much also!!

BTW in with some black and white:bassist:

Hi All,
Well I'm up to 10 coats of tung oil on the Legend and its looking good but I will continue till I get 15 coats on it. The top still needs a bit more of an even layer and sheen. Its been a fun project but I wont miss going out on the patio everyday putting on another coat of oil. Its very tedious and I now know why Spector prefers not to do tung-oil as a regular finish option. :hiding:

That's really looking nice. Can't wait to see the completed instrument.

$750 each, or for both?

Just wanted to clarify.

Man, if I could find two Legend 5's for around that I'd probably jump all over them. Really love my NT Euro but had a few friends who bought Legend's and never saw the need to move up.

Each. If it was for both, I would have jumped on them & flipped them.

Not sure about Canada, but down here that's on the high side, even for both (unless they have Spector cases with them or something).

I find them at pawn shops for around $300 each quite often.

These aren't used, or traded in basses. They're both brand new. The pawn shop doubled as a dealer, until Spector changed something & they lost their dealer license. They're also the local Peavey dealer.
