I haven't used a DB212 but I've used a DB410, a DB810, a GS412, a GS112 and a GS212.
the GS212 is the best single cab combination of portability and boom of any Aguilar cab I've tried.
haven't tried the SL112's. but they look great.
the DB series is voiced very differently than the GS series. IMO the GS series works better with spectors. DB's are voiced for midrange focus (something spectors have plenty of on their own) and don't move the same amount of low end as the GS series.
case in point. my GS412 was louder and had more deep lows than my DB810 despot having way less speaker cone area and cabinet volume.

Ho I actually converted to nickels from steels I like them so much.My band will be playing at Cheyeene Saloon in north las Vegas on Saturday. Set time is 8:50. Come out and have a good time with us if you can make it.
Jump on that deal, a person could use that as a nice build project if the electronics are torn up and load it with a bunch of good stuff or even sand it down to see what the maple looks like!!!

with two Aguilar SL112 cabs.
She's also playing my Water Cured Redwood NS-4 in some of the photos.
She plays the Euro4LX-TW-35. So the NS-4 was the USA equivalent (although only 34" scale) to what she had.
She'd never seen a USA Spector before.
I'm with Ho on this one. Being a BIG fan of good looking ladies who play bass and Australian accents, I gotta say I'm a bit jealous!
Her band opened for Marilyn Mason on this Aussie tour a couple of years ago and she said she got a lot of hate from the crowd. Some guys even threw bottles at her. (She said they were easy to dodge... LOL).
I told her not to worry about that sort of stuff here. If anyone starts giving her crap, just talk, they'll hear her accent and be instantly charmed.
Her accent is very cool. For sure.
I'm at the Empire club in lovely Springfield VA. There is a beautiful Kramer era NS-2 and a Euro-4 35 XL on stage. Can't wait to hear them. Hanging with Jamie and Lee.

Here's a composite photo of my Water Cured Redwood NS-4.
WCR grain is very difficult to photograph because it changes as light hits it.
What I did was set the camera on a tripod and take several different photos, changing the position of the lights in each image.
Then in Photoshop I was able to blend them together (dropping out the reflections of the lights) and get a much more accurate representation of the wood grain and pattern.

Well, my NS4 officially got the switch from gold to black hardware yesterday. Played it at practice and have a reunion gig tonight I'll be playing it at! Thanks to Husky123 for the inspiration. I'm not much of a gold hardware guy and once I saw his with the black, I knew it needed the change.
