Yeah you can look at that both ways.....some sell, some buy.

The Tone Hammer will be on the other side of the spectrum in comparison to the GK/Mesa stuff. The TH line will give you that warm and thick, extremely present and complex mids. It'll feel down on power (because it is) compared to your M9 but for smaller venues it will rock. Also, if you pair it with your Mesa 412 it is gonna slay!

Did you get the Tone Hammer yet?

Not yet should have it by the end of next week . Yep that's my thought ph212 and th500 set up for the smaller venues . You know with all highs I get out my basses I'm thinking ill have outstanding mix of chewy lows and sparkling highs with a dash mids. Yum I getting hungry.....lol

No I let the B1500 go. I was talking to Jamie about it the night of his gig. As much as I loved the amp it had this "clacky" (tech term) going on in the mids that I couldn't or didn't want to dial out. Probably just the high mid EQ centerpoint but I liked pushing that frequency so I didn't want to cut it and compromise (if that makes sense). The B1500 is a bomb of an amp. The only one that I've had that made the M9 feel like a practice amp.

The Carvin really didn't have the upper end sizzle of the Mesa/GK but rather prodigious amounts of low end coupled with a great grind you can get with its magic "drive" knob. Or you can leave the drive low and stay uber clean all the way up to max headroom (in spades).

The Carvin is a bit of a rare bird where it has a "fixed gain" type deal and you use the drive knob to dial in the amount of grit/dirt you like. As far as thump, unless you're going with a pre/power type deal they don't get much louder. Very neutral tone I'd say though....not too tart, not too sweet.

I dont know, I use chrome too, I changed my track yesterday, hasnt seemed to work fully since then, just on and off... are you the same? maybe its a soundcloud issue

Chrome seems to have broken a few things with a recent update. My Sirius/XM web player wouldn't work with Chrome due to a recent update they said so I have been using IE when I want to use the web player which is kind of lame. I have noticed the issues with Soundcloud as well so I don't know what they did.
