It's been a while since I've had a home studio, but I'm getting the itch to record stuff again...
So my questions are as follows...What recording program (DAW) are you guys using these days?? In college we used ProTools 7ish and I know that is hasn't changed much, but enough to make me to contemplate a different DAW, i.e. Logic, if I have to re-learn a lot of the fine points of ProTools. Also what kind of interface/plugins/mics are you guys using?
I'm looking to mic a cab plus go direct in so I have several different tracks to play around with!
Any input/advise from you guys would be greatly appreciated!

Brad, I'm using studio one 2 as you probably have seen on FB. For me it is much more user friendly than the others I have. There are alway free plug-ins that are really useful and the browser window makes it all easy access. I really like the project(mastering) page also. For interface I'm using a Audiobox USB or my Studiolive 16.4.2 if I need more I/O's. I just started using the Steven Slate drums and that's a great drum program also. That's what I'm using. You were also talking about getting the Monique pre which is great for direct recording. I usually use a Audix D3, D4, or D6 for cab mic'ing. Depends on what I'm doing.
